It's pretty offensive in NZ. Not because of what it means though (see my response to the first quote). It's just the worst insult I can think of. I save it for those times when I really need to unload my fury. I think I would be uncomfortable saying it in front of people I don't know well.

I suppose it all depends on your idea of what 'freedom' means. I think that America is very free. I just don't think it's very fair. I'd imagine you can give me a huge list of ways in which Canada is more free than the US, but I'd also wager a lot of those points are dealing with fairness rather than 'lack of government intervention.' Oh, and maybe being able to drink in public without getting arrested. lol And tits on tv.
