on top of that pic don't eggs only come in 4, 12, and 24?

I think you can buy 1/2 dozen eggs at some places. Still it is an odd number.

All sorts of amazing things could be shopped in instead of the ball. :lol

Someone change the ball to a bomb ready to blow, and you got it. Their faces would still work perfectly.

I'm sorry for asking, but why are some of these GIF's only flashing, and not animating I wonder? I'm on Safari, iMac by the way.

I didn't quite get the Alien vs Predator shower gif in the previous page. Was it because by flushing the toilet the shower ran out of hot water?

It's been really helpful for us newbies though :) I've learned an awful lot of stuff I couldn't grasp a few years back :S The point isn't to make us into great programmers though.

Yep, bad plumbing you aaaalways see in US movies :S

On older plumbing systems, if you flushed the toilet the shower would get really hot, because you would be diverting the cold water away from the shower into the toilet.

However, this is obviously dangerous, so now there are valves that sense when this happens and turn off the hot water, leading to a cold shower - not very pleasant, but safe.

Of course, you could also send hot and cold water to the toilet to reduce this problem, but then you'd still get cold water.

If you don't want to deal with this at all, you could have a split system for showers and toilets, or something like that I think. Not really experienced, just going by what I read in a quick search.

It makes the water hotter.

All the cool water gets redirected to the toilet so it can fill up the container again, therefor all the cool water he was using to balance the temperature and get something comfortable was removed leaving only the hot, scalding, water.

edit: wayyyy beaten. I'm not even sure how that happened because I know it didn't take me 8 min to write this post

Oh, thanks for the info guys. So weird, I don't live in the states so I've never experienced that, most of the places I've lived in had separate plumbing systems for hot and cold water so this doesn't happen. It is a funny gif :lol
