Nice. I wasn't planning on getting an XB1 but this really cemented holding off for quite awhile. I'll pick it up on 360 at some point.

This seems to be the general response from people who have used both. Still can't believe MS are seemingly messed up the controller, the 360 one was damn near perfect.
 
Bizarre that people are upset that this game would come to the 360. I have a 360, I have a xbox one preordered, is my purchase of DR3 on xbox one less rewarding because millions of others enjoy the game on 360? Console wars nonsense.
 
It looked very much like a ported-up game. And I recall reading it was originally a 360 game.

But kind of surprising to wait until now to reveal a 360 version.

Pretty sure no one is upset. Just some people finding this hard to believe considering they just barely managed to get it running at a stable frame-rate on X1, it's going to be a technical mess on 360.

It will probably "just" have very few zombies on the screen at once.

I guess fair enough if you are questioning the accuracy of the report. The sense I got was people were upset that this gave them less of a reason to buy the xbox one, which is odd to me, but we all have different opinions.

Its not being upset, its the fact that this already has the look of a upressed current gen game, whats the appeal to upgrade to a xbone if you can get the same game on 360.

Yes the next gen version will have nicer explosions and a higher zombie count but the base game will be the same.


Its the exact same problem COD, FIFA and battlefield have.

There isnt enough reason to upgrade for these titles.

Not sure why it would put people off buying an X1, I personally won't be buying any current gen games that are available on next gen, as I want the best versions possible (no plans to update my laptop yet).

Isn't the MP on current gen limited to 32 players, whilst next gen is 64? Can't speak for the others, but that's a big difference in my book.

Well if this is true (IF), there are some people I know who would just wait to buy a One. They don't care about the best version, just that the game is there. If they can save $500 to play it then they will.
 
I hope this is true. not only for being available for all the current 360 owners out there, but specially for the comparisons. I'm afraid many will eat crows

It honestly seems like real 'next-gen' software is a good 2 years away. These sorts of launch year titles can't be doing too much with the hardware in terms of game design, if they are doable on the 360.

So your not upset, but your dissapointed that there isnt a reason for you to upgrade? If you were already dissapointed with cross gen multiplats I dont see much else to get excited about either of these consoles until I:SS and TF release in 2014.
 
I wasn't planning on getting an xbox one this year anyways, so i'd gladly try Dead Rising 3 out on xbox 360. It's still brown though.
 
Exclusive forever eh Cboat?

I may actually buy a really cheap 360 some day just to play this and re-play a couple other games again like Banjo Nuts and Bolts. Certainly better than spending $500 on a console I don't want.

Actually it is less rewarding. One of the most hyped XB1 exclusives is nothing more than an up-ported 360 game.

But is the difference worth $500 for the vast majority of players? And we have to also think of userbases...Are all your friends looking to upgrade to an xbox one?
 
Makes total sense.

The game started as a 360 (and probably PS3) game.

MS bought the exclusivity made them do a Xbox One port.

They can't ignore almost 77 million 360s just like that.
