"shit station" What are you like 5? Lol so edgy. So when you handed in your ps3 that was 600 how many "rrod boxes" did you spend money on before you got one that stayed alive???
Far behind its time? It had features Xbox couldn't even dream of
-True stereoscopic 3d not tht fake vs
-First console with 7.1 true Sorroubd Sound
-Bluray player that at that time standalone were like 800
-web browser
Arguably best exclusives and pound for pound in their respective genres the graphical benchmarks and highly rated.
Xbox at tht time had better multiplats up until midway then PS3 multis caught up once devs knew how to work the cell. But on exclusive front Xbox wasn't lighting a candle to PS3.
Hey we all have our opinions but your talking troll shit when you say it was far behind its time it was actually more advanced in Many things.
at launch it didn't have a friends list, it didn't have achievements, you couldn't play music in the background aside from like 3 games that supported it, it never got party chat or any party functionality and the controller design was from the 1990s with some of the worst triggers in gaming history.
most Sony exclusives are dogshit, Killzone with its awful controls and corridor levels or Uncharted with its wannabe cinematic and dumbed down game design.
by the end of its lifecycle it had a bunch of good games to offer, but especially during its first 3 years it was an absolute waste of money.
now to your list:
"-True stereoscopic 3d not tht fake vs"
"true 3D"? the 3D was identical in quality on both systems. many games even used the same technique to achieve it.
all stereoscopic 3D is, is 2 perspectives that alternate quickly each frame, how you achieve that doesn't matter, both systems weren't even close to use the full resolution of the 3D TVs on the market so having a half res image streched out didn't change anything, since these systems couldn't even get close to 720p per eye anyway without going down to 20fps
"-First console with 7.1 true Sorroubd Sound"
that hardly matters to 99% of gamers... who the f hadna 7.1 Surround system back then? or even now?
"-Bluray player that at that time standalone were like 800"
great! so what? again how does this benefit games? slightly better FMVs in like 3 games? awesome!
you know what it also gave gamers? extremely long loading times due to the slow ass drive, and MGS4 needing 4 15min installs during a playthrough...
it meant mandatory installs to keep up with 360 loading times and it meant that games that didn't have the option to install loaded slow as fuck (which is why mirror's edge on disc had popin and super long loads while the download version fixes this completely)
"-web browser"
yeah which was usable for maybe a year and then, due to missing updates, was behind the time and couldn't support any modern standards.
meanwhile the 360 got a way better browser that wqs regularly patched to be up to date
