You see, the thing with running a successful company that's already making good money is that you never see the big picture. It should be capable of making money with minimal guidance and PlayStation is the sum of more than just Jim Ryan. You have no idea who might have made decisions or done work he's taken credit for.
If a lower league manager was to take over Manchester city, you'd expect that to still win points by doing the same thing they've always done. Why? Because they're their players are the best and nothing on the pitch changed. Jim may have had some very successful teams who helped him do well in his job. Ultimately the way he handled the ABK situation was very poor and I don't think that Sony are very happy with how much further ahead they could have been. Just because there was success, doesn't mean there was no opportunity to be even more successful.
