Playstation Move impressions/reviews/previews

Trust me, I've watched all the video reviews of every Brunswick Bowling game out and coming out and while it will certainly be a better technical implementation, it has 3 major flaws IMO:

1. The presentation is dull as dishwater. Generic, barely customizable characters devoid of personality. Basic Brunswick IRL lanes and few oil patterns.

2. The early game (if it sticks to the other Brunswick games) will suck. Play with crappy basic ball for 8-10 matches, hope to win a tourney against much better equipped AI, then play for 8-10 more matches in hopes to win enough money to buy a ball that can show spin.

3. It's not available at launch AND it is more expensive.

I'm willing to somewhat blind buy HVB (I've played at a friends house with the DS3) because of the above and the fact that for a casual experience, it'll do well enough as a launch game.
If Brunswick Pro comes out and has remedied some/all of the above, I'm certainly willing to buy into it as well.

Update: I just checked Amazon and it seems they have pulled in the availability to 09/19. One problem down, three to go.

If I bought HVB a long time ago will it be updated with move controls or do I have to buy a new game?

Everyone and I mean literally EVERYONE that has tried the Move at my house so far has squeezed the ball on top. :lol Killer app?

Hell, I'd just sit there and squeeze the ball even when the PS3 wasn't on. Sony got smart and finally added some form of built-in stress relief to their controller. Innovation of the generation, if you ask me!

By the way I am confused as hell about the download launch titles. Does there exist a list anywhere of the actual release dates for the download titles?

Patch is expected and I doubt they'll attach a price for it. I'm going for the disc release because it comes with all the DLC and the possibility of trade-in should something better (like HVB2) come along.

How much is the disc based version? Just checked online and there is 30 bucks worth of dlc

Kinect. Jump In.
Move. Squeeze my balls.

Heads up AusGAFfers, Target and Kmart are doing the PS Move Starter Kit for AUD$79.

Eh, I'm pretty sure the move add-on will have a price attached to it. It's "Free" for PSN+ members, so I'm thinking it may have a small fee tagging with it.

Hmm you make some good points. I may do the same.

I don't know why IGN are bitching about Resi 5's controls - from the sounds of things, they are exactly the same as the Wii version. Firing using the face button is the same as using A to shoot in the Wii version.

The other is the official, which could not be opened until a certain amount of time before release. This one has been going on for a while from people who got a chance to play with the Move before release, reviewers, or at game shows.

This one will probably be locked soon and linked in the other for posterity.
