Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

Just ordered Time Crisis online now that's it cheap. Can't wait as I've enjoyed the demo.

Have Capcom ever discussed releasing any of the Wii REvil games? The on rail shooter ones that is.

Anyone want to help assemble a list of games that have been mentioned at E3?

They showed gameplay with NBA 2K12 and that first person archery/ninja star throwing/swordfighting game, and I recall several more games were mentioned but no footage shown.

What else was there?

Thanks for the help as I put together a list:
Bioshock Infinite
Carnival Island
Dust 514
Everybody Dance
Hot Shots Golf 5 (patch, includes 3D)Infamous 2 (level design)
Just Dance 3

Wait...WHAT!!!?? What is this? A new game or is the that full name of HSG on PS3? Then again I don't think motion controls work that well for golf games simply because you can't force players to use two hands. Why swing the controler with two hands when swinging with one doesn't disadvantage you. Doesn't translate the same as playing table tennis for example.

It's Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds with a patch. It'll likely get a retail re-release I suppose.

I've been thinking if it's worth it to get Sharpshooter. how comfortable is it to play with fps? do you hold the gun up and actually aim at the screen like a light gun game? and is tiring to play through the game that way? if it's not that practical, I think I just gonna get the simple pistol attachment for Move, since I think I'll use it primarily for light gun games.

I love it personally but it is a bit tiring to use. I played through KZ3 with the sharpshooter but it was spread out over many play sessions as I don't have a lot of time for gaming.

It's really sturdy, very high quality and is really a fantastic piece if you're into that sort of thing. A gun might be easier to hold for longer periods but I don't know. With the sharpshooter you have the shoulder support which helps a bit.

If you plan on using it for light gun games then go ahead and get the SS instead of the pistol. The SS has the Move buttons replicated around the trigger area for easy access. The pistol doesn't, so even in games as "simple" as Time Crisis you'd still have to hold it with the other hand to reach the Move face buttons (the main Move button for cover in Time Crisis for example - on the SS you have it replicated right under the trigger).

I disagree with TTP. I found lightgun games hard to play with the sharpshooter and recommend going for the pistol shell instead. The Sharpshooter is great for FPS games, but the way it slows down your movement is bad for lightgun games. I know there's some way of reloading / shielding in Time Crisis without using the move button, but can't remember off the top of my head.

Though if you're playing the story mode in TC, I'd recommend the sharpshooter.

oh ok, didn't know that. thanks for the answer. I may get Sharpshooter someday.

hmm, well, my first gut feeling is to just get the pistol shell since it's cheaper and all. I think I have to try Sharpshooter myself before I can decide.

The Sharpshooter is not really that great for FPS games. It makes camera movement much more difficult. And besides Time Crisis, good luck playing Dead Space Extraction with the pistol shell ;) (albeit you can use the Navigation controller in combination with that to get access to all the inputs)

Of course a vanilla Move alone is better than either attachments...

Good luck playing Extraction at all. You want to talk about camera issues? That game is chock full of them.

As for FPS games, I've played through most of SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3 with the sharpshooter, and I think it's the best way to play either game. I've adjusted the controls to the point that I don't have any issues with the camera, and I find it much easier to headshot guys hiding behind cover. I'm now playing KZ3 co-op with a friend with a controller and I'm actually having a harder time.

I really don't like using the Move without a shell for shooters. I find it much harder to aim.

Didn't have a single issue with the camera in Extraction. It's on rail after all. What issues are you referring to?

Out of curiosity, are you talking competitive MP?

I actually tried Sharpshooter with Socom once in a Sony Store demo, but I only play a short time and I struggle playing it. I reckon it could be the setting because I have some learning curve playing KZ3 with Move as well. I don't have time to actually mess around with the setting so I don't really know if Sharpshooter is good for me or not.

IT MUST! I've been trying to track down a copy in Australia for aaages... Did they stop printing copies or something?

I've seen a few used ones in various EB's. Have you tried those?

Maybe I'm just used to traditional lightgun games, but I found it too quick and jerky. I'd be aiming a shot and it would drift, putting me off my mark. Only played the demo though.

I don't play competitive MP at all. I don't enjoy it.

Why isn't there a Star Wars game for Move? The sphere could even change to whatever colour you want your sabre to be.

See that table over there? It has money on it.

I'm actually surprised RE4HD (and CVX too for that matter) don't have Move support. You would think they would since RE4 Wii had motion controls.

They just mentioned 3D and move patch right? No trophy patch was mentioned?

You can reduce (to the point of completely remove) the camera shaking in the full game (not sure in the demo) but other than that camera usually stays pretty stable during actual fights. Of course there are sections where you have to be quick to shoot stuff because the camera is moving (especially when collecting stuff), but that's part of the challenge IMO, not a flaw.

I fucking loved playing Extraction with the Move controller, the entire game was a blast from start to finish. It was awesome to be forced to pay attention all the time for supplies.

That's what I was hoping for also. I guess they'd almost have to add a trophy patch if there was any kind of retail re-release, but maybe it could be included with the 3D/Move patch...probably just getting my hopes up though.

Whaaat?! That is ridiculous. Re4 was amazing with the wiimote and it would be a travesty that the hd release doesn't have pointer controls with the move.

I think I would do just as badly with a controller as with a move, no matter the shell. Dying every five seconds is hard to make worse. KB/Mouse is still where it's at when playing online.

Sorely disappointed by the lack of move enabled 3rd person action games. The team that developed Move Heroes did one heck of a job integrating move to the game and I want more like it.

Give us God of War Move, Dragon's Dogma Move, Dark Souls Move, Uncharted Move, Metal Gear Rising Move, Resident Evil 4 Move, or just patch Resident Evil 5 goddamnit.

The Gold edition has Move controls. It's pretty cheap too, last time I checked.
Turns a crappy game with crappy controls into a crappy game with decent controls.

Already got the original with all the DLC. That's why I want them to patch it. What's keeping them from doing it? I'm sure a lot of people who owned the original didn't buy the gold edition. And I doubt fans play it anymore. Why not lure some of them back, Capcom?

Buying it again isn't what I want to do at this point unless I can get it somehow for dirt cheap. I see it's listed at $35 on Amazon. Playing it again with the Sharpshooter looks so freaking awesome though.

Here's hoping for move support for RE5, RE4 this fall.

So I just got a navicon to complement my 2 move controllers and....

How in the world do you hold this thing? It's crazy unconfortable...

Really? I thought it was pretty ergonomic. I don't think there is a special way to hold it.

I find myself bending my wrist (similar to how I hold a Dualshock one-handed, it's comfy) but it doesn't work on the navicon. And it's hard to access the d-pad when you have your index finger on the trigger and part of your hand is obscuring it. I've never had a problem with holding Playstation products until now.

source? it would be really stupid for capcom to do such a thing, unless....o i know, they couldnt think of a way to make it work for kinect.....so screw the move, they have to be equal etc........i hope that wasnt the case.

wait, are you telling me if i bought RE5 original, bought the dlc from the store and then installed the patches, there would still be no MOVE support? i thought the patches was the MOVE support.......this sucks.....

I'm not sure why you would bend your wrist at all. Use your thumb on the d-pad. It should rest naturally in the palm of your hand. I'm really surprised anyone would have a problem with it.

You are correct. I bought a second copy myself, and I don't think it was worth it. The move support is a bit janky.

ok, so I bought this for KZ3 and it feels really good. Except that it calibrates for a determined position and feels wildly anaccurate outside of it. But may be I'm doing this wrong. Also I'm not accustomed to vertical movement yet.

any tips for a beginner?

I downloaded Hustle Kings off the HK store and I can't play with Move. I downloaded the 1.02 patch when the PS3 asked for it.

Is the move patch the 2.0 version ? It doesn't seem to be available for me yet.

I just started playing the demo with Move I goto motion controller options to calibrate it, defaults to less than 50% on sensitivity, which works well, I tried it on higher just to see and it moves around to fast like that, what it defaults to is better. After 10 mins I got use to it and it is easier than playing on the regular controller, I bought the full game based on this and plan on playing the whole single player with Move, maybe on hard since I find it easier with move.

No gun attachment btw.

When they first showed off Move with Sorcery, I was so pumped. It looked amazing to me and I couldn't wait to buy it. Now that I've played with Move quite a bit and I'm more used to the technology, I have almost no enthusiasm left for the game. It looks cool still, but I don't know that it's my type of game.

First thing is to make the bounding box larger. I have mine set not quite to the edge of the screen. Then play around with the sensitivity settings until it's honed in. Looking up and down takes some practice / getting used to.

I'm still excited about sorcery, I like the concept of combining spell in action adventure games. really, what other game does that nowadays. if it was announced as dualshock only last year, it'd still be in my hype list.

Due to the free Deadspace Extraction from the Limited Edition I finally decided to pick up a Move+navigon combo. I already had the PS Eye which had been sitting around doing nothing for over a year so it's good to be able to put that to use again.

Other than all the demo's that i've downloaded unfortunately the only other Move enabled game that I own is Heavy Rain and i'm kinda weary about the Move-implementation in that one. Will probably give it a try this weekend though.

I'm actually mostly looking forward to Hot Shots Golf getting patched and hopefully that will make a great game even better. Never got around to finishing it so now will be a good reason to do it.

Really bumbed out by the fact that MLB 11, VT4 and TS4 not having proper Move controls despite the promises that they would. I was especially looking forward to use the Move in a full game of MLB 11 but I guess we'll have to wait for next year to see real good tennis and baseball games with move controls.

I'll probably be buying what seems to be the most decent Move controlled games in the near future:
- Sports Champions
- Resident Evil 5 gold
- Killzone 3
- LBP2
- Child of Eden

I'm also thinking about getting Tumble with it's current PSN Plus sale seeing as some many people are praising it.

I agree this really sucks but it is actually not that suprising it being the Asian PSN (getting updates way late and DLC that never makes it over). I really hope that they will patch it in soon but I'm somewhere expecting it never to become move enabled...

I'm kinda bummed we didn't see anything out of Sorcery at E3. The move peripheral was so cheap that I would be perfectly happy if I owned just a couple great games that use the peripheral well. Sports Champions is one, I'll probably pick up HSG... I'm not really interested in shooters at this point so KZ3, MAG, SOCOM, etc. don't interest me much.

I can recommend RE5 Gold. Didn't like the game when playing with a pad but the Move made it a joy to play. It takes a while to get used to, but once you do it'll feel so satisfying shooting headshots.

According to an off-the-cuff remark in one of GameTrailer's Best of E3 videos, the reason for its absence is because it's being 'reworked'.

I'm more disappointed Until Dawn didn't show up since that probably means it's been cancelled.
