Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

A PS3 FPS Release Date Confirmed - Move Support, 60+ Maps

Coffee Beans:
I'm now pleased to say that PS3 owners will only have to wait a little while longer to play a new FPS that has Sony Move(and Navigation) support, 60+ maps, a map editor, online multi-player, as well as a solid single-player offering.
What game am I talking about, and when will it release?

Greg Hastings Paintball 2! After hearing from Greg Hastings himself, I can now say Greg Hastings Paintball 2 will be releasing on May 10 through the PlayStation Network. A price point has not been 100% confirmed yet, but Majesco should be releasing that information soon.

Why isn't TTP's new vid getting more attention? Holy crap that looks amazing and how all move shooters should control. The speed of it looks comparable to even KB/M.

Also, is this something Zipper can just change in a patch to get these controls without needing a Sharpshooter?

That's definitely doable yeah.

lol I watched the video in amazement before.

It's frustrating that such a well produced and informative video series like his doesn't get the attention it deserves. Every video is full of info, yet they each keep getting more and more entertaining. I was ok with the "boring" old style because of how good of a job he does of showing the tech, but it's even better now that it's funny too (like using Kotick's picture in the Darts game LOL).

Even if it sounds naive to say, I really think someone from Zipper needs to watch this video. I feel like TTP shouldn't be more knowledgeable on Move usage than a company with employees who are paid to program it into their games.

I think the move controls was held back to keep the game from being too easy for players with move controllers.

when a dev make a Move only FPS or TPS they might use it to it's full potential.

I hope the wait Sony are putting me through for Sorcery is worth it.

I'd love a Move exclusive game with a LOT of things to do, discover etc. We've seen sod all in terms of media from that game.

Sony is sending me a copy of Killzone 3, Socom 4, the Move bundle and a nav controller for free! I cannot wait to play KZ3 with the move, I didn't care too much for it with Socom.

Nice. Yay free stuff!

So I think I'm going to take the dive into Move since my xbox just Red Ringed and I wont be able to afford a new one for months. I'm a bit resistent though because it seems Sony aren't really doing anything with Move over the last couple of months... and I don't really want it to be a wasted purchase. If I did buy a couple of controllers, what would you recommend to play through? Killzone 3? Heavy Rain? I haven't really been following the Move line-up at all so I don't even know what's available. If I could get some recommendations that would be great. I remember being pretty blown away with Sorcery at the Sony E3 conference last year but I haven't heard anything from the game since, which is a bit disappointing :(

Picked up The Fight: Lights Out over the weekend and wow is that a blast. The head tracking doesn't work for shit for me (bad lighting, I think) but the 1:1 controller movements (when using two Move controllers) is absolutely fantastic. And it's a hell of an upper body without if you play it for a while!

Yeah... No. No more sharp shooters for me. I bought one, tried it on Killzone 3's demo and sold it a month later, never using it at all.
This thing is too heavy to enhance gameplay.

So, what move related goodness can we expect from E3? some sorcery footage would be welcome and some Resistance move footage / impressions would be nice, but is there anything else? Uncharted 3 maybe? How about 3rd parties? I think I read somewhere that DICE were considering move support for Battlefield 3 (that would be excellent!). Anyone heard any other rumours?

Sony look to be increasing their retail presence for Move in the UK.

In a few weeks time they'll have Rep's demoing software at Toys R Us etc.

Hopefully they announce a few more (decent) games at E3.

I would guess that Resistance 3 and Sorcery would be Sony's first-party highlights at E3. From third-party developers, we already know about No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise and The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut, which are fan favorites. If Move support is announced for some additional mainstream games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, then this would demonstrate a great show of confidence in promoting Move as a preferred method of playing first-person shooters on a game console.

Since Move has been out for over 8 months now, it looks like we're starting to see it settle better into certain niches than others. I think that the retail games from this point on will mostly consist of games that "play it safe" with little or no risk, such as first-person shooters, light gun shooters, and the occasional Wii portover. Meanwhile, games that showcase originality and creativity tend to be released as downloadable games on PSN.

I want Sports Champions 2 at E3 with more sports, leaderboards and online multiplayer support or else i'm selling this shit.

No fucking joke.

Hell Yeah,Sports Champions 2 with online..I wanna fight TTP in a online Gladiator Duel..I know I will lose badly but I wanna fight him lol

Just got this. Price matched at Walmart with a Fry's ad for $49, since all the Bay Area Fry's were all sold out. Took a while because the Walmart employee was saying that they didn't allow online printed ads, but in the end they did. The games are really fun, playing Beat Sketcher right now.

Anyone want to help assemble a list of games that have been mentioned at E3?

They showed gameplay with NBA 2K12 and that first person archery/ninja star throwing/swordfighting game, and I recall several more games were mentioned but no footage shown.

What else was there?

Thanks for the help as I put together a list:
Bioshock Infinite
Carnival Island
Dust 514
Everybody Dance
Hot Shots Golf 5 (patch, includes 3D)
Infamous 2 (level design)
Just Dance 3
LBP2 (level design and gameplay)
Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest
Motionsports Adrenaline
NBA 2K12
Resistance 3
Saints Row 3 (extra Move mode)
Star Trek
Start the Party 2
Winter Stars

Bioshock infinate move support was a nice surprise. Looking forward to seeing what Irrational Games do with the move. That dust game looked ok too. the rest of the move news wasn't all that interesting.

Does anyone else think $150 is a little too much for the Resistance 3 Move bundle?

Game - $59.99
Camera - $39.99
Move controller - $39.99
Navi controller - $29.99
Sharpshooter - $39.99
Equals - $210

It's a good price if you want that stuff and you don't have any of it yet. Prices taken from current amazon.com listings.

Any footage of Start the Party 2 yet? The first was one of the coolest examples of what Move can do, curious to see where they take it next.

I am dissapointed with the Move support and E3 hasn't made it any better, all we got was an on rails MediEvil game. I wanted Sports Champions 2 with online support, I wanted a game that is similar to Red Steel 2 but better (not on rails), and where is Sorcery. The original tech demos of Move was promising, it is a shame that this isn't getting the support it needs as it's an awesome bit of tech.

I think maybe we're a rare hybrid of core gamers who are on-board with motion controls. Usually, you're either a core gamer (and they detest anything that makes them use more than their fingers); or you're a young/casual gamer (who is overwhelmed by 1:1 games that use accurate physics).

Tack it on to shooters, great, sure, but there's no creativity in that. Part of the appeal of the Move for me is the limitless potential it has.

Where the hell is Sorcery ?

I'm wondering this as well? It looked so good at last year's E3 and I expected to at least hear something about it at this years E3. Looked like a Move seller. The character on screen's arm completely tracked your own arm movements. Dynamic IK like that is awesome.

I just wonder what happened to it? Hopefully it's still in development.

I was also hoping to see Sports Champions 2. If they just put a bit more character into the game and a bit more presentation I think it would do much better than the first one. I enjoyed the first one, I just felt it lacked character/presentation which was understandable for a launch title. I guess they are working on Medieval Moves now? That didn't look too promising at E3...

I do always use the Move for shooters now though. I used the Sharpshooter all the way through Killzone 3 and probably will for Resistance 3 as well. Resistance 3 really looks a lot better than Resistance 2 IMO.

As far as I can remember right now:

Bioshock Infinite
Resistance 3
Medieval Moves
Dust 514
House of the Dead Remixed

I think that was it? Not a very strong showing.

Post #6878 are most of the games announced at or around the same time as E3.

I'm worried about Sorcery too, I hope the game hasn't evolved into Medival Move, the game looks pretty neat, but I hate on rail stuff.
Someone asked Shu Yoshida about sorcery on twitter, he said it's still in devepment. Looks like they upped the scope of the game after the positive buzz from last year
