Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

Really Sony, really?

I was convinced this would be their answer to Mario Galaxy. Instead we get this mini-game waggle crap (that we already had two mediocre instalments of on PSP).

Wasn't it revealed long ago that there were two Ape Escape games in development for PS3? One mini-game-based title, and one unrevealed title.

Ape Escape 2 and 3 are collections of minigames. They even have separate minigames in between the minigames. They're just spread across what looks like a platformer.

Mine has been shipped since ~2pm. It only has to go from Delaware to North Jersey.. Hope it comes tomorrow!

That's exactly what I'll be getting tomorrow.

What launch games are you guys buying the Nav controller for? RE5 Gold?

Still undecided if I should just get it now or wait for LBP2.

Whats the word on using LBP2 and move?

Sports Champions: Only one hole of disc golf which was disappointing. Controls were quite nice but the demo wasn't long enough to get a real feel for it. Oddly it says to stand with your leading shoulder towards the screen, but then if you reach back for a full throw it loses sight of the Move and complains. You'd have thought they'd have noticed that, and could probably have relied on the gyro/accelerometers anyway.
Table tennis was surprisingly fun, and some nice 1:1 after serving. Probably not my cup of tea though. May pick the game up when its a little cheaper, as I'm curious about the archery.

sports champion is defintiley worth buying. I'm loving it. The gladiator game :D

Gold Edition is the only reason I'd even consider investing in Move right now, is there anything else worth grabbing? It seems like slim pickings. =/

Well, my friend just called me all excited after visiting Best Buy. Turns out they had a Move display up and he played it for like 20 minutes and was blown away by it. This is coming from someone who wasn't too eager to get it as he sticks to the big mainstream titles mostly. Seems like the Move must be doing something right, and he even wants to pick up Sports Champions now. He acted like a little kid picking stuff out for his Christmas list. :lol

If only my Best Buy had one set up as I keep going back and forth on whether or not I'm getting it since I think I could wait a little bit since SOCOM got delayed and Time Crisis is a little later this year.

Now if they could only sell my friend on Killzone 3 since he didn't like KZ2 for some crazy reason. Maybe the Move will be the key to getting him to buy it. :lol

I preordered MOVE and my order shipped but I'm just now realizing I have no idea what I want to play on it :lol

Sports Champs, Tumble (PSN) at the very least. Time Crisis/The Shoot seem like good picks, and those are coming in a few weeks. The Fight, if you're into boxing-type stuff.

Yeah I preordered this and could have picked it up yesterday but really couldn't be bothered due to the dismal launch lineup. Probably get it today. If only Time Crisis was out already.

Not sure if this has been asked a million times, but how do you control the shield with the Dualshock in Gladiators(Sports Champions)?

You don't. You hold the T button on the Move controller and move it around to block.

To be truthful, I couldn't stand KZ2 and I love FPS games. BUT the Move has me really interested in KZ3 ...

Oh, and don't be bashful, GO BUY IT! More sales = more support!

Someone who has played move help me out with some info.....what kinda lighting is needed for this thing? I'm buying it tomorrow, but my basement apartment is kinda dark at times, and I have no main light for the living room, just a couple table lamps. Will I have issues unless I have superbright conditions?

Watch TTP's ligh video.

And no the darker the better actually since the camera detects move with its bright ball head.

That's why the Move orb glows. ;)

Actually, Move seems to love low light conditions.

Here's TTP's video: http://iwaggle.blogspot.com/2010/09/video-iwatch-playstation-move-vs-light.html

What games would you need 4 moves for? I pre ordered the sports champions bundle, one extra move, and navigation controllers. Im hoping to get my new panasonic 3d plasma next week so i'm really excited needless to say. I have a feeling tumble is going to be awesome with 3d/move support. Wish sports champions supported 3d though. Especially for the local multi in table tennis...it can show each player the full image as opposed to split screen.

Move works well in just about any lighting condition you could think of. Low light poses no problem whatsoever because it's looking for the glowing ball on top of the controller. You got to get pretty fucking crazy with the lighting system in there to make it fuck up Move.

Same boat. It's amazing. For 4 Moves, I could have a Wii. :lol

Same goes for any peripheral though, controllers are expensive, at least these don't require you buy batteries too.

You need 4 moves for many multiplayer games (need is subjective, 2 per player)

Fair enough. I'll go buy it since you were truthful. :lol

I figured the Move support will give KZ3 a lot of attention along with getting people to buy SOCOM 4 who normally wouldn't. I think I'll try the Move out on both games, but I'll never use the Move for multiplayer in SOCOM since I'm a pretty big rusher. I might use it for sniping every once in a while in that game.

Some youtube gameplay vids i found

MAG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ulP1NoppGs

MAG looks really nice there....the guy plays pretty well too.

they should have "Move" only matches as well as just the regular ones :D

I just love how some of these games are getting these patches....its like getting something great for free (although I know its another way of selling the Move, but still..lol)

just not so used to getting free stuff this gen, :(

I got it! I'm back from the 24-hour Kmart. Excitement, so much excitement just because I've been waiting over a year for this.

I bought Move expecting it to be some gimmick I wouldn't like too much and now I'm already thinking about buying a second controller and a nav..

can't wait to pick it up after work. quick question though. it seems the EU PS Store has a lot more Move demos than the US Store. i'm sure this is because the Move is already out in EU but does anyone know if the US store will get more demos tomorrow or will we have to wait until next week?

Newegg is ticking me off. Got my games in for the Move. Probably won't get it until next week since it's the freakin' weekend.

And my Halo Reach was suppose to be here a few days ago. BAH!!
