The demo is only the tip of the iceberg. Sports Champions is the game to get right now. It's outstanding.AkIRA_22 said:Sports champions might be worth a purchase, the table tennis is pretty good.

The grip is of course overlayed graphics. Whyever they had to do that. Start the Party only does an overlay on the sphere, which leaves your hand visible.quetz67 said:why is the sword over the hand?
I think it's a little unrealistic to expect them to render it inside his hand.quetz67 said:why is the sword over the hand?

GameSeeker said:I am really enjoying table tennis as part of Sports Champions and that got me thinking. Back in 2006, Rockstar Games made an excellent table tennis game, called Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis for the Xbox 360 (and later Wii). Rockstar needs to get moving and do a port to the PS Move!
Psykotik said:lots of people seem to be having trouble with the wiggling fingers bit in eyepet.
try waving your hand up and down instead of wiggling your fingers.
the PSeye is basically looking for movement. sometimes it may not pick up wiggling of fingers very well (depending on the lighting in your room).
if wiggling fails, try making larger movements with your hand instead.

At the start they outline an area at the bottom 1/3 or so of the TV that is for the EyePet only, and say that you should remain behind this imaginary line. When I followed that strictly the finger wiggling was no problem at all.

marc^o^ said:Ok, let me take back my initial impressions. Move is way better than Motion+. I just realized I could move the racket forward/backward in table tennis, and it's AWESOME. It adds a layer to the gameplay that is second to none. I embrace our new controller overlord, tremendous things will come from this light bulb![]()

Chao said:How long should the battery last? I could have sworn I charged the controller completely yesterday, but a after a 1-2 hour session tonight and half an hour this morning, the thing is holding like 25% of the charge.
Is this normal or is my Move fucked?

In the rush to scream "omgwagglelol" and blast through the Bronze cups; reviewers have failed to appreciate the depth offered in the "assist-less" Silver and Gold Cups. The harder levels of table-tennis require you to move around the living room as you would a real table-tennis table. And for me, that's the biggest show-piece of Move's advantage over the WM+. Nothing else on the market can offer this depth of precision - and Sports Champions takes advantage of that with some stellar AI that forces you to think about your actions, aswell as execute them with 1:1 precision.
Perhaps Sports Champions' biggest strength is its ability to appeal as a fun, casual party game AND as a deep, hardcore sports title.
People aren't giving Zindagi enough credit for that.

Thanks for that information, I'll try to charge it again and I hope it will last longer this time.SSJ1Goku said:The Move takes 4 hours to charge and get 10 hours of battery life, the Navcon gets 20 hours of battery life.

Just tried out Move with all the demos on the start up disc and tbh I'm not really a fan, I don't want to come across as a Nintendo fanboy because that's far from the truth, in fact I sold my Wii recently because it wasn't getting much use, that said though thus far I preferred the wiimote over Move.
Although the Wiiote/Motion+ may not be as precise it just feels easier to use, aiming on the Move feels 'strange' to me, perhaps I need to get used to it, plus the calibration is annoying, seemed much easier with motion+, also on the wiimote it felt like I was aiming a laser pointer at a board, I liked that, very easy and intuitive, but on the Move controller it often feels like I have to move my whole aim like I'm using a magic marker drawing on a large whiteboard, it feels weird.
Anyway I'm off to have another play, hopefully with practice I get used to it, I'm not giving up yet.

I actually just read IGN's review of SC. They didn't give it a bad score (7.5), but the knocks against the game were puzzling. Basically, the reviewer thought the characters were generic and "stiff," the environments were lifeless and repetitive, and he just had an overall problem with the game's presentation.krypt0nian said:It's like reviewers are knocking each other down to line up to embarrass themselves.
"For the most part, the motion controls work well. Archery, disc golf and bocce ball are fun, but volleyball feels a bit too scripted and I had trouble with table tennis. Gladiator's just solid."

Fredrik said:News flash. Game reviewers don't want motion controls. It doesn't matter if the controls are precise or not. They just don't want to stand up and have fun, definitely not with other people. They just want to sit on their fat asses by themselves, with a headset and standard controller and call people they don't know names in some crappy FPS shooter. We had exactly the same discussions back when Wii launched.
I've been playing some more Move today by the way, I'm still not overly impressed, in short it feels like Wii with HD graphics, but two games have started to grow a little on me. The Shoot, it's really fun and feels a bit retro in a good way. And once again, Beat Sketcher. I've probably played around with the last one for 3 hours now.
