Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

If you do, post impressions. Am thinking about getting TC:RS, too.

I've had Time Crisis RS for a while now. It's a lot of fun and controls well with the waggle wands (I don't have the gun contraptions nor do I see the point in wasting extra money on them).

I got a Navigation controller for Christmas, so now I can actually play the story mode in Razing Storm.

Top Darts just about sold my buddy a PS3+move. His wife is interested in the Netflix+BD and games for the kids, he is a long time PC MMO player, but had a blast throwing darts.

Well there's Modern Combat in Jan which looks good and failing that KZ3 in Feb will be incredible.

He is disappointed with MAG's quality and you suggest a Gameloft game? KZ3 I can understand, but a Gameloft game will make MAG look like the most polished game on the planet.

For new Move owners and other inquiring minds, here's the announced future releases. *=downloadable.

echochrome II
Dead Space Extraction
de Blob 2
Dungeon Defenders*
Dungeon Hunter: Alliance*
PlayStation Move Heroes
Killzone 3
LittleBigPlanet 2
Michael Jackson: The Experience
Modern Combat: Domination*
No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise
SOCOM 4
Sorcery

Under Siege*
Virtua Tennis 4
Yoostar 2

I'm interested in 9 or 10 of those games so I'm pretty excited as the first wave of Move games weren't too heavy on really compelling titles. ::goes back to playing Tumble::

??? If Gameloft can do anything it's make a polished game with super tight controls. They don't have original ideas, sure, but they know how to make a game that looks pretty and works well on the hardware from iPhone all the way back to the N-Gage days (A 3d Ghost Recon that controlled well on a phone is no easy task). Modern Combat should be awesome, I just hope people play it.

Just coming in here to say that I finally bought myself Move on Thursday. I've been enjoying it. Sports Champions is okay, but I much preferred playing the demo for The Shoot. I must get that game in the future. I've been playing mostly Heavy Rain again, and I think the game is so much better with the Move. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I can not wait to be able to play Dead Space Extraction with the Move. :)

Hi WaggleGAF, I remember reading something about Move support for MGS:Rising, but I can't find it now, is it going to support it?

Nothing is known about that. If you read something about it, it was probably some rumor/wishful thinking.

Yeah just wishful thinking I believe, same thing with Dead Space 2, never panned out for whatever reason.

Ordered The Shoot and The Fight. :D

I really love The Shoot. It's gorgeous and has some great ideas and implementation of Move. The Fight is a workout but can be a little frustrating sometimes (calibration, lighting).

The Shoot remains one of my favorite Move games, along with Gladiator & Archery (Sports Champions) and Tumble.

Gameloft makes pretty solid games, they just copy other games and are incredibly unoriginal.

What is surprising to me is that the standalone Move controllers are still hard to find in retail.

I realize Sony didn't over produce the standalone controllers but its kind of odd that its remained this way. I would have thought they would have sorted this out by now.

People that like Move are going to eventually get 2 to 4 controllers so that is a lot of standalone purchases.

I got another Move controller, a Navigation controller,The Fight Lights Out and Time Crisis Razing storm this is total Move overload!

Another fight club member cool!

I know not everyone with Move has (or likes) The Fight but I made a commented fight replay video (with iMovie) which really showcases how well the game functions and how the replays can be fun to watch. I wanted to provide some direct tangible evidence about the game. If someone gives you grief that the game "doesn't work" please kindly give them this link with the word "bullshit" attached.

I got the Move for Christmas and I really like it so far. I like how you can go through the XMB menus with just the move wand. It was great to see a Move demo section on PSN too, I think Kinect is missing out by not having any downloadable games. Tumble is fun. The look on peoples face when they first tried start the party and first saw the augmented reality was hilarious.

Is there any way to use a navigation controller for reloading and then the Move controller for shooting in TC:RS? If not, that game's a dud.

Man, tonight was awesome. Brought the Move stuff to the family Christmas Eve dinner, and everybody loved the stuff. I think we played Bocce Ball in SC for 2 plus hours alone :lol Once we were done with SC (never played the Shoot), I broke out Singstar, and as I guessed, it was everyone's favorite. It's funny, at first I was afraid of pulling out the Move controllers for the dance stuff, since I knew from beforehand that it was pretty much follow along with the on screen person, with no real indication of what you were supposed to do before you did it. It's kind of a poor way to get that stuff done, especially after stuff like Just Dance and Kinect, which both seem to do a better job of showing what you need to do. However, once people started trying it, they loved it. I think the thing they loved most though was the ability to record them goofing off like complete idiots. :lol It was great watching the first few people act crazy as shit in front of the camera, only to then reveal the entire thing was recorded :lol It's a shame I can't upload that stuff straight to youtube (or even export it to the XMB and then manually upload it), since other than watching every routine right after we've done it, there doesn't seem to be much reason to keeping stuff saved.

Anyways, this is starting to sound like a sales pitch, but the short version was: Everybody loved it. The stuff in SC impressed many of them (and they all own Wiis), they very much enjoyed Singstar Dance, and they all can't wait for New Years so I can bring the stuff back.
Same here man...My family loves Singstar Dance...At Christmas my 50 yr old aunt was on a 3 game winning streak lol...OMG so damn funny lol..

Girlfriend got me this yesterday. Loving it.

I've played around with Sports Champions a bit and got The Shoot and the red gun accessory today for cheap (Boxing Day here in Canada). I also picked up the navigation controller, but is it used for anything? I'm planning on picking up a second move controller when I can find one in stock.

We tried several demos and she loved Echochrome 2 so much we bought it shortly afterward on PSN.

I know in about 6 months we're going to have a killer Move lineup, and I am very excited!

Thanks guys, it seems a good fit so fingers crossed anyway.

Just checked the Sports Champion demo. It's amazing, it works really well, specially the table tennis game.

Also checked The Shoot demo (it's ok, worked really good) and that puzzle from Gameloft (I don't know if it was due to my calibration, but its controls was really bad.

Picked up a PS3 Move bundle yesterday, me and the wife played sports champions and all the games that came on the demo. When it works its great, but a lot of the times the stuff on screen is messed up and it seems like the controller is upside down or the controls are inverted, has anyone else had this problem?? it's frustrating..

I have had this happen a few times. I'm not entirely sure what causes it, but turning the Move off then back on solves the problem. Thankfully it hasn't happened frequently for me, but it is a pain either way. It also happened in the Sly Collection minigames, and turning off my dualshock seemed to fix it.

it seems not to happen if the dualshock is off when the start up and just do everything with the move

Yep. I've totally had this too, and I've nullified the issue down to it being a case of the DualShock being off. It seems more like a glitch than anything, something I hope they'll solve in the next firmware update.

As frustrating as it is, restarting the controller (off and on) and recalibration nearly always corrects the issue immediately.

Looking for game to play with the family and I'm not sure what to pick between Eye Pet and Start the Party.

I already own Sports Champions and the second game is more for us to play with my 8 year old son. Any insight would be appreciated. :)

Someone hasn't played their PlayStation Minis release of Hero of Sparta, and NOVA. Games that control weak, have poor graphics, and an even worse frame rate on hardware where this shouldn't be a problem.

Start the Party is definately a more fun game.

I think its an issue that TCRS has.

Fair enough, but when I'm playing the archery in Sports Champions I encounter the same problem. No matter where I point, the arrow is always a little off to the left and to the right. I'm assuming this is normal since, given the positioning of the ps eye, it can't be perfect?

I played around with my new Move the other day--checked out most of the demos and wasn't particularly blown away by anything, but really impressed with the diverse set of games that are already available.

I enjoyed Time Crisis, despite it being the brownest installment in the series to date. Kung Fu Rider was interesting; I love the idea and visual style, but found the controls to be cumbersome (will still probably pick this up at a super-low price). Tumble is the best game I've played so far. Really looking forward to purchasing the full version sometime this week.

Do we know if that Pixel Junk Move game is coming out anytime soon? Cant wait to see what those guys do with this tech.

You should reset the Move controller via the tiny hole it has I believe on the bottom. Them re-calibrate it through xmb options. I think Sport Champions is the most accurate Move game and if you have issues with it, it's hardware(faulty device)/your set up, not the software.

Pixeljunk Lifelike is not a game, it's more like an interactive music visualizer. As far as I know, Pixeljunk has not announced any games that work with Move.

I'm sure Lifelike will be interesting and worth the money, but don't expect a game unless you also consider detuned a game.

Has anyone purchased the Nyko 4 remote charger? I am looking at getting a charge station, but the official Playstation one only has space for 2.

As much as I pleaded with my son outside of flatout telling him no, he went with Eye Pet. LOL

Ah well, it was his Christmas money. :( I guess I'll be Gameflying Start The Party then.

Holy shit, TTP. You outdo yourself every time! Love the Bobby Kotick custom dart board and the example Nintendo basement dweller setup picture.

Your videos are top notch. Could you try turning the volume up on your voiceover? It's kind of quiet.

Added to OP. I want this game NOW! *runs to PS3*

One question: There is a two player mode in the game where two players can play at the same time. Are there any turn-based modes and if so, how many players can play (e.g. in Wario Ware, you can have more than two players taking turns at reaching zero)? That will make or break the game since I play Wario Ware solely for darts since it shit loads of fun with friends.

Yeah I know. It's a hit and miss thing. Sometimes it's fine. Other times it's quiet. I guess it depends on the noise cancellation software I use. I think I should tweak it a bit.

And I need a better mic for the voice over dammit.

Yeah, all main modes (not including the novelty ones) support up to 8 players turn based. You can set the skill level of each player.

I need to check if you can play simultaneous games with more people. I'll tell u in a sec.

Edit - Yeah, sim-play is only 2 players (no option to play in couples so to speak). 8 players for turn based only.
