PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Any micro USB cable should work for charging/connecting a Dualshock 4 to the PS4, right? My PS4/DS4 won't blow up if I use the cable that came with my Kindle?

Aye, you're safe. I don't even know which of my micro usb cables came with the PS4.
But now I like to charge the DS4 on the Vita 2000 charger more.

TOTP: get all Muramasa DLCs and save some money for life&hometown + Freedom Wars next month (October, for you people already on tomorrow).

The CG in Cyber Sleuth looks crazy good, damn.

Read the following : "It’s officially October, and we have a great new promotion for you to get the most out of your PlayStation gaming experience this month. If you spend $100 or more on the PlayStation Store in October, we’ll give you a $20 credit to your wallet to spend in November! This is a store-wide promotion, so anything you purchase using your wallet will count towards the $100 total. One caveat: the credit back is limited to the first $100 you spend."

I should never make new threads when I am half asleep :V

My apologies.

I put a stupid number of hours into HoD on both XBLA and PSN.

Game is good fun on normal difficulty.

On Hard it becomes serious business. The enemy-scaling gets really bad depending on how many people are playing. Let's say six players are in a game, if one or two of those players can't pull their own weight, everybody is screwed. Hard-level bosses have a crapton of HP and kill in 2-3 hits.

For the most part the DLC is great. The retro-origins stage is literally Castlevania 1. You fight every boss along the way and then face Dracula. The characters are kinda ehh. At least the retro ones (Simon and Getsu Fuma) are cheaper than the other DLC characters IIRC. The DLC stages have better stuff as well, though it's mostly for weapon-users (Soma, Alucard, etc).

Getting the whip-users powered up is a headache. Best advice is to find an Astral ring (uses HP instead of MP for skills) and set up online stage 2 survival games with two players. That stage is literally just a boss-fight, and everyone spams their skills, suicides, and then spams some more.

Charlotte takes a LONG time to power up. She's a fantastic character though when maxed out(she used to be even better until that run in with the nerf bat).

Get used to dive-kicking stuff. It's a great way to get around. Soma has a monster soul called Yorick you'll want to get. It creates a skull that can be kicked around. Use this with the dive-kick to reach out of the way areas.

The current PS+ games won't be removed until Oct 8th, which will be the same day the new games are added. Expect them to announce the games 1-2 days before this

Ok, thanks. I guess some sites are just guessing what games might be available.

What are their guesses?

Injustice
Steamworld Dig
Assassins Creed Black Flag
Driveclub (PS+ edition)

PS3

Rain
Resident Evil: Revelations
Castle of Illusion
Gran Turismo 6
Terraria (cross-buy)
Rayman Legends

PS Vita

Olli Olli
Killzone
Crimsonland
Terraria (cross-buy)

All of those games would make for a pretty good month. X-P

I think the PS+ version of Drive Club will be one of them....unless they keep that seperate

I thought I read it would be separate? It should be.

Costume Quest 2 needs to be up there instead of Rain or Octodad.
Believe?

It has been reported that Driveclub will be added into the regular PS Plus allocation of two games each for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation Vita.

We shall see.

Sweet, my 64GB Vita card finally arrives Thursday.
So what are some good digital-only games on the Vita?
I say digital only, because if there's a physical version then I'd rather get that

Already have Sword Art Online and I plan on getting the Atelier games.

DJ Max Technika Tune isn't exactly digital but you'll be hard pressed to find a physical copy now that the developers are disbanded and the production is discontinued.

Very fun game that centers the gameplay on the touchscreen and the back of the Vita. Lovely music too. Had been playing this game on arcades before I realized it was on Vita.

you already mentioned the atelier games. probably dj max technica tune if you can't get a hold of the physical copy. XD

edit: and beaten XD

Played Natural Doctrine for a bit on easy, it doesn't seem that hard. YET. The game's depth is immense already though so it is a bit scary. I just had to go over to P4AU to continue with the story though :P

Oh wow! How have I never heard of this game before. I love rhythm games, and this looks like the closest I'll get to Osu on Vita.
I'm glad I asked, getting it for sure.

Was interested in that one game part of Short Piece, but no way I'm spending $40 for the entire thing. Guessing it'll probably price drop sometime next year or they'll split off the game part of it individually.

I thought DJ Max was digital only. I couldnt find a physical copy anywhere near me. Im in the US of course.

Think it had a short physical run in EU. I don't believe it ever released stateside as anything but DD, but I believe another region got the physical release.
