I'm bored and there is no update so I will now rant for everyone's entertainment.

What is the problem with SCEA/SCEE? I don't get it. People are willing to throw money at you, yet you constantly update the store at erratic time-frames, even though this is something you've been doing for 3 years!! You know what would happen if someone had a job and constantly showed up late for 3 years? They wouldn't have a fucking job! And then it's not like there is much in the way of a meaty update. A few gems come here and there, but mostly it's pork. It's useless, and stuff that is unappealing. We have gotten good the past few weeks with Critter Crunch, and Uno, and Fat Princess earlier this year, but really, for the updates to be as sparse as they are some weeks, you would think that being on time would be something that is easily accessible.

And let's not get started on the PSP. You launch the PSPgo and follow it up with one of the wort PSP weeks to grace the store. That's not saying much since every PSP update aside from the one from the PSPgo week has faltered between relatively weak to downright terrible. And it's not like you even kept your end of the promise of 300+ UMD classics by launch. How about you only gave us like 100 and then followed it up with 2 NBA games. Way to dick over anyone who bought a PSPgo with the huge breadth of content we got last week! So much content! People were up to their ears in content for the PSPgo! Having to choose between 2 whole games! 2! And they are the same exact genre! WOW!!!! Thank you SCEA! Thank you so much for your consistently shitty updates.

I hope the PS Store crashes and never updates again.

SCEA does not work under exact update hours like Nintendo does.

And for the PSP Go rant, yeah. I remember saying a few weeks before its launch that those who were expecting the whole UMD library available as DDs would be in for huge disappointment. But I agree. And (un)fortunately, Sony won't get away with this.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Thanks for all Fallout 3 impressions :)

Sony should have regular update times.

Sony should have the whole UMB library available for download if at all possible. I know there are some problems with third party franchises, but it's not like these are titles from the NES days like Duck Tales.

Ya, I am glad to hear updates from companies like rockstar that they will be releasing their games but I hope we don't have to keep waiting for each company to have a week. These games should all already be on the store...

PSN really is a mess since a couple of months. Not only the connections and bugs are all over the place but the update are as irregular as ever.

Busting 6pm in the american store was happening like 3 times a year. Now it's 3 on 4 WEEKS.

Seriously Sony, get your fucking shit together. + upload TRINE god damnit.

That's 9 games this week, not bad Sony.

Actually, yeah, I'm ok with that update. There's nothing there that I want to buy, but nonetheless its not a bad amount of content for a week of releases, its more than released on 360 this week as far as I know (yeah, I know, its old content, but who cares. Its better than last week)

Not a bad PSP update! I don't know if there's anything I'll be purchasing, but at least there's a few decent PSP games.

Actually, I might get one of the harvest moon games if either are any good.

An acceptable update. seriously considering SF Alpha and one of the midnight club games.

See, if something similar had come out last week, there would have been less gnashing of teeth. (not zero, but less :)

next week is sure to rock because of Half Minute Hero and GTA:CW.

Seriously, we aren't dealing with the middleman anymore so why are they still making things full price?

I wonder what happened to Darkstalkers? SFA3 came out this week, so it's not like Sony is ignoring Capcom's release schedule. I wonder if that game specifically got held up?

Amen.

I can't wait til we get the Video Store in Europe. That'll be yet another weekly update of sweet fuck all we can look forward to. :lol

Seriously though I think the majority of the weekly updates this year have been complete shit. The great releases have been few and far between. There's been one great PS1 titles (FFVII) and that's it. Oh, Silent Hill as well, but that was removed a day later :lol Waiting months and months for PS1 titles that are available on the US store with no answer as to when we'll get them is bullshit.

And what is there to look forward to for the rest of the year? Pixeljunk Shooter? Anything else?

The retail release for PS3 have been amazing this year, the PSN store's been a joke.

I've suggested this many times but somebody in these threads always shits all over me for it. :lol They clearly have issues when uploading a fair bit of content all at once. They can't really go wrong uploading content as they get it. It'd spread out traffic a lot better rather than have everybody slam the store all at once and it'd help get consistent traffic. They have that ticker and the What's New section. They really shouldn't be waiting until one day of the week to upload all this stuff. Imagine that - whoever's in charge would have to do their fucking job five days a week rather than epically fail one day a week.
