Ah, actually I just checked it: The Abra only has four perfect IVs.

Still, pretty nice haul when I was letting go of my four IV Ralts.

And thanks, guys. I guess I'll start EV training when I can.

Horde battles are useless though.

The Pikachu on the right is a Pikachu that doesn't use horde battles.

Don't be that Pikachu

I don't think I've ever seen an Alakazam used at a tournament ever. Unfortunately it's just way too frail. The Mega form has the same problem =/ I think my biggest issue with a lot of Megas is that they have the same problems as the non-Mega form with regards to poor stat distribution.
Mega Alakazam is even worse than regular since it can't hold a Focus Sash imo. Goes down way too easily. I've got a fully IV bred and trained Alakazam that I hardly ever use because he's way too much of a glass cannon.

since it's far too late to quote the Klefki discussion back then, best setup:

Klefki @ Light clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Reflect
- Light screen
- Spikes / Toxic / Thunder wave
- Foul Play

Someone care to explain why the horde battles are useful? I thought they were annoying, mostly because they were long and had the framerate do a nosedive... *clueless*

Yeah I feel this would be more useful in general. The Swagkey setup is really gimmicky and requires way too much luck to be reliant in battles from what I've experienced with it.

You can kill 5 Pokémon at once. Each Pokémon gives you 1-2 EVs (i.e. Super Training points), but you can boost it using Power items and Pokérus to get 50+ EVs per battle.

Basically, you can fully-train a Pokémon in just 10-11 battles, which takes maybe 20 minutes. Way faster than ordinary Super Training if you have the right setup.

The T-Wave variant is what I use. It's MVP in many of my battles.

In the main game they might be a drag, but for competitive purposes they're great because you can essentially:

-Activate EXP Share for baby pokemon that need training
-Use Sweet Scent to sniff out a horde of choice
-Have a way stronger Pokemon lead and use an area-of-effect move such as Surf or Earthquake to one-shot the entire horde
-Baby Pokemon immediately gains experience and stat bonuses from 5 wild pokes at once, instead of having to fight one at a time

Coupled with items that further boost under-the-hood stat bonuses, you can get "purebreds" to their full statistic potential (not counting EXP or vanilla levels) in a matter of minutes compared to grinding for hours like you would in the past.

Well, keep in mind that I am a rather casual pokémon gamer, so don't laugh at me, but... I think never used Super Training. >_> Being honest here. (or maybe I have and I don't remember doing it lol)

Is it used merely to level up or to give different stats or something like that?

Huh, thanks for explaining. My brain kinda melted, but it will sink in eventually. :P

Well....it's designed off it LOL. That isn't what he looks like, though.

Here's what he looks like (ignore the ears)

here's a less angry one.

I know, I was trying to be funny. :(

Still, I know some people prefer it, but I've never liked Pikachu's old design. I like the angry one though, that one's pretty cool.

Yeah, 4 EVs = 1 Stat point. Maxes out at 508 EVs total, 252 EVs per stat (63 more points at lvl 100). So you can do 252 in two stats, and 4 in another (just a simple example).

Getting so much money from the Battle Chateau. I can go in once an hour for a refresh and with Luck Incense+Money O-Power +3, I'm getting battles worth 70k. It takes me ~6 minutes to blitz the whole thing and I'm out with what, 300k or so.

Not sure why I need so much money but screw it, I'm getting every cent I can.

They range from 70 to 79 (besides Xerneas who is - or was when I beat the last leader - 67 or 68).

Mine were 66-75 (besides Chesnaught, who was 80) and I thought I was overleveled so :P you're probably going to steamroll the Elite 4.

Gotta buy dem high end clothes

Don't forget, stores refresh their inventory every day :)

though it seems I've gotten almost all of them - darn the male selection :(

Yeah. I was thinking of either this set up or SwagKeys.

I like this set a lot, I might just make two Klefki but for now I'll stick with the one I just breeded.

I feel like Carbink will give me a hard time when I start breeding that.

So does the online battling have any rules? Do most players end up following Smogon rules or is it pretty much the wild west?
Rating Battles follow the standard rules.

Singles
Bring 6, Pick 3
Species Clause
Items Clause
Cover Legends + Event Legends banned (Mewtwo, Kyogre, Jirachi, etc. -- same as Battle Maison)

Doubles
Bring 6, Pick 4
Species Clause
Items Clause
Cover Legends + Event Legends banned (Mewtwo, Kyogre, Jirachi, etc. -- same as Battle Maison)

Not many people play Triples or Rotation. I'd concentrate on those two. Doubles if you want to take part in real life tournaments as well. Singles if you just don't want to learn how to play Doubles.

Free Battles are the wild west with no restrictions on Pokemon.

It's fun playing good players online, but it's not fun getting stomped by legendary Pokemon who you can't deal with at all.

Also I just had the dumbest online match ever. It was so bad. The RNG decided it was going to mess with both of us. Crits took out my Mega Mawile and status effects took out his Mega Mewtwo. It's 4QPW-WWWW-WWW2-8E8D. Prepare for fraudulence.

main problem with the Swagger set is you can get your entire setup in prefectly-no opposing Pokemon immune to paralysis, no Lum Berries, whatever-and still lose because your opponent got through parafusion hax
it's basically the equivalent of relying on Focus Blast to sweep

Carbink is better for this set imo

the guy that can't reliably get a move up without a Focus Sash?
and has no offense
sure.....Klefki>>>Carbink

Yeah the male stuff are a bit weird, I've been looking every day but I haven't found too many things I like. I just buy everything red or black and mix them up for outfits. I would crossdress so hard if I could (did it in Animal Crossing, hehe).

I always use the opposite gender for my secondary playthrough, and with money this easy I'll just get all the clothes then.

Y'know I really don't get why they don't allow to cross-dress. The guy could pass for a girl anyway.

Does anyone have and extra everstone or know where to get one? For some reason it is not in my bag/attached to a Pokemon/at the daycare. Not really sure where it went :S

Hmm does Smogon even cover 3 v 3 singles and Doubles? I've literally not a clue what would be good for those things.

I forgot how...stupid the GTS is, and not just because of all the idiots demanding pokemon that don't even exist yet.
I was trying to get a Yveltal that had managable trade of Abomasnow. I gonna follow a chain of Scizor to Abomanow to Yveltal when I decided to check back on the Yveltal and noticed that they wanted a LV 1-10 Abomasnow (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Why waste our time not just by impossible demands but also by wasting valuable space?!

I don't like it too much, it has crooked eyes for some reason.

I's the wild west.

Speaking of hordes, mareep are only in hordes? Don't want to waste my honey otherwise...

You can just get an Odish.

Also random thought: I hope they add more clothes as DLC or event stuff. Do clothes cycle randomly, or do they follow a set rotation? I know I'm missing stuff, but I always find the same things when I check.
