Yet, Sony is killing it with current gen games tuned to current gen console spec, just as they did last gen, perhaps even more this gen because the architecture is less exotic.....Despite BC last gen, we truly had some of the best remasters and they were very successful too. There's just more incentive to play old games, if you remaster them or remake them, up the framerate and graphics significantly....I played, the entire GOW remaster series because the framerate was much improved and the graphics got a nice lift from Sub-HD to HD......The remasters offered a transition point from older generations, where our TV's were SD before, so it made sense that more people gravitated to remasters as opposed to the BC on offer....
I guess no one can deny the much better frames and graphics uplift....So I played Sotc, ICO, MGS series, GOW series, ZOE series and so many remasters and of course they were in HD for the first time and they also had trophies, which was incentive for many at that time....I know I made sure to platinum the entire GOW series and that trend remains even this gen, it's one of my favourite franchises...So I guess we should look at the dynamics around why people gravitated to remasters for that gen and understand people's mindset then.....
Condemned was a good game, that's for sure, but that was early days....However, from the time PS3 landed UC1, Folklore, Resistance 1, F1 Championship and Motorstorm, I knew we were in for a cracker..........Even games like Genji Days of the Blade is an under-appreciated gem, that game had some of the best graphics I had seen for an action game at launch, it's still a great looking game today. I wished they'd remaster or remake it tbh.....
Cool, it's nice you like these games, but PS3 gamers had so many unique games, much more than 360, especially from Japan.....So I guess both sides can do some listings, but the volume of PS3 games, especially third party exclusives outstripped 360 by far.....
