What are your best gaming memories, and some of your personal GOATS ?
Best gaming memory was being invited to the Canadian national exhibition in 1950 and got to play Bertie the Brain. My favourite games are Ecco the dolphin, The Oregon trail, and Zork

48 :/

Started out with the Atari 130XE and games likes Hacker and Ghostbusters. Everybody at the time had a C64 except for me of course.

I still have it boxed up in the attic.

If I add OP as a friend on PlayStation how can I be sure he won't try to groom me. I'm only 41. I better ask my mom if this is ok.

Couple more years and I'll be able to take over the "50+ Activity Center For Seniors" in our town with all-night Quake 3 LAN parties and Warhammer 40K matches. Fuck outta here with your Bingo Nights, bitches.

sigh...

It's dangerous to reveal your age here on GAF, as the mods will call you on it if you start getting cheeky in threads.

Should I be ashamed of enjoying a bit of trolling in a thread about a TUFF GUY WARPAINT DAD and his insufferable brat of a son, just because I'm in my early 40s and loving life?

I've been age shamed, and now I wonder if I'll ever develop into the beautiful butterfly I was meant to be.

Feeling sad. :messenger_loudly_crying:

42/

For once in these age threads I'm in the first option on the list and not the last. I feel so young 😂

How does that work?
Fast Cars = Sports/Race Cars, Cars that exceed 100mph
Fast Women = Women with loose morals, sexually promiscuous, slutty, your Mom on Friday night.

It is a line from the 1981 Movie Stripes With Bill Murray & John Candy. Here is the short clip via youtube:

I can't imagine people in their 90s using the internet, let alone being on gaf.

Do you guys still get boners? Thought I'd ask people with current first hand experience.

40s here but I'm getting like my 97 year old great aunt who hasn't known her age for a couple decades. I know it's some number with a 4 in front of it

Are some of you seriously over 90? If so that's impressive. I'd love to hear more about your experiences of the internet... even in my 40s I think of internet life as "recent" thing, a kind of weird and (most terrible) revolution that replaced the ordinary, more mature ways we used to live our lives in reality.

I remember a time when the internet was just two sticks and a hula hoop

I just watched this recently. One of my wife's favorite movies.

First bucket for me.
Been around for a while here, but either lurked sales threads are the start without an account or used one from a work email I lost access to.
Early memories of arcades, especially Time Pilot, followed by NES and SNES. Had a long gap until Xbox 360 and a gaming PC for AoE3.
Currently on Xbox Series X, green rats can add me at jaybe00

I use to walk to the Arcade with 5 bucks in quarters to play games like Spy Hunter, Tron, and Dragons Lair. I would be singing this song through my Sony Walkman Cassette Player,

47 here. Came out of Gaf "retirement" (my last post was years ago) to represent.

My first console was an Atari 2600 in 1979 followed by the NES in 1986. Sold my NES for a Sega Master System in 1988 (no regrets as Miracle Warriors, Zillion and Wonder Boy were my jams). Went console-less until the late 90's when a little game called Final Fantasy VII burrowed into my conscience, so I caved and purchased a PlayStation in 1998 (will never forget playing that game for the first time). Sold my PS in 2000 and bought my favorite console of all time the mutha-fuckin' DREAMCAST! C'mon with Shenmue, Seaman, Jet Set Radio, SoulCalibur, Skies of Arcadia, NFL 2K, Tennis 2K, Code Veronica. I loved all of 'em. Bought a Xbox in 2002 but didn't really play it, so sold it as I was getting more into PC gaming, but went back to Xbox when Microsoft had Mass Effect as a console exclusive. Picked up a Xbox 360 about a month before the games launch in 2007 and pretty much stayed with Xbox up to the Series X.

I'm 42, all I really can't play anymore is competative games like PUBG, CS, Fortnite etc. couse my reflexes aren't as good anymore. I refuse to get killed by 12 year olds...
People we where there when Counter Strike was a Half Life 1 mod!

I can't vote in the poll...am I too new or too old to figure it out?

I'm 50. I'm not giving out my PSN because I'm a lone-wolf-pussy-slaying-motherfucker. I hate Co-Op games, but love fast cars and fast women. I also hate people but love parties? If I see any of you in the online battlefield I will stab you in the back and take your ears for a souvenir necklace I'm making.

I hit 43 last weekend. Neo Members can't vote in polls or edit their posts, apparently.

44, I first started playing games at the age of four; stuff like Pacman & Q Bert. there were very few games i enjoyed during the 80's & early 90's. all way up until I was about 18, My favorite games were the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, The Immortal, the Zelda series and Final Fight not much else did it for me...My favorite Generation is Gen 7, and my all-time favorite game is Pandora's Tower; something about it just resonates with me.
