Polygon edited their article. They got rid of the word Ubisoft and replaced it with GameStop.Last month, reports began circling of GameStop stores in Italy and the U.S. canceling pre-orders for Watch Dogs on Wii U. GameStop told Polygon at the time that the Wii U version had not been canceled, but Nintendo's third quarter financial report published on Jan. 30 did not list Watch Dogs as a Wii U title coming this fiscal year.
Can we get an update on the thread title? I got confused for a second.
This is really confusing.
Not everyone. As long as Ubisoft have implemented the GamePad features well for a game that's practically made for the controller then the Wii U SKU should be the definitive version. I'll certainly be getting it for the Wii U.

Here we go again.
This more or less restores the status quo of the last Watch Dogs Wii U thread, right?
Hey guys, lay off polygon.
They're just trying to prove to themselves that videogames have substance.

It's also not uncommon to not announce SKU changes near a fiscal report as some companies prefer to wait for the report itself.Isn't the writing basically on the wall at this stage. I can only think of two scenarios where when asked if a title is still being released the answer is "no comment."
The title has been cancelled and the company is trying to find a way to announce it with as little backlash as possible.
The company is on the fence and is in negotiations for some sort of incentivisation by the platform holder.
This isn't the first and won't be the last time the "no comment" situation will play out as usual.
When is their earnings announcement scheduled? Too lazy to search on phone...It's also not uncommon to not announce SKU changes near a fiscal report as some companies prefer to wait for the report itself.
1) Polygon said in a new article "Ubisoft confirmed with Polygon at the time [last month] that the Wii U version had not been canceled," implying Ubisoft directly told them that the Wii U version was still in development
2) Because Ubisoft allegedly told Polygon that, OP made a new thread called "Watch Dogs Confirmed for Wii U"
3) However, some people were suspicious that this was really not the case because many other journalism outlets asked Ubisoft if Watch_Dogs was still coming to Wii U...and they said "No comment" again and again (to everyone except Polygon)
4) Polygon just changed their wording to: "GameStop told Polygon at the time [last month] that the Wii U version had not been canceled," saying that Ubisoft never actually told them anything
5) We're back to square one
Wow, that's insane. Can't believe they tried to pass off a GAMESTOP statement from LAST MONTH as a "source" to confirm that Wii U Watch Dogs is not cancelled.

Thanks; well at least this song and dance will be over in a few days.February 7th.
"Unfortunately, we will no longer be releasing Watch_Dogs on the WiiU as there was insufficient demand for the title. We strongly value Nintendo as a partner and we are still fully committed to supporting the WiiU with multiple other titles in active development."Which one is it? This is such a simple answer on Ubi's part.
"The group does not comment on market rumors," a Ubisoft spokesman said in response to a query from Reuters, after a 4-percent fall in the company's share price. "The game is still expected in the first quarter of fiscal 2014-15."
You're right, my bad: https://www.ubisoftgroup.com/en-us/investor_center/ir_calendar_contacts.aspxYeah, it's cancelled.
Not the 10th?
We should ban Emily Rogers "news"
The writer of the polygon article said:
Sorry - GameStop said Wii U version was not canceled. Ubi told Reuters it's still on track for spring
The article she links to says:
Apparently this counts as Ubisoft confirming the Wii U version of Watch Dogs is still coming.
Yeah, in this case it wasn't Emily Rogers' fault, it was Polygon's fault for mistakenly citing Ubisoft when they meant GameStop, which was the purportedly novel element to this.

Edit: Capcom is the 7th. Knew someone asked about someone going then: http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/
It could be the other versions though, it's such a mess...The writer of the polygon article said:
