Popular streamers implicated in charity scams (Asmongold, OTK, xQc, Ludwig, Hasan and more)

Not surprised most (if not all) of the names accused are shit streamers and/or react channels.
Or whoever used those awful gaping mouth thumbnail templates for their videos.

This is why we need adblockers back because frankly as much as I like Youtubers, I don't trust any of them.
Adblockers are still around and working? At least the one I'm using still works.

Not for youtube. Unless you know something most of us do not. Every adblocker I have tried eventually youtube gives me the ultimatum message of basically "turn it off or be banned."

From the clip I just seen with asmongold. Pretty much say he will respond to it and react to you after the lawsuit. Seems like he know he gonna be fine. Least for him the way he look and sounded. Like it someone else’s fault and he can’t wait to talk about it and tell he’s side. But also, why is it get bring up again cause of the Translater attacking him? Like should we be going after her no matter what?

I'm sure he'll be forced to respond properly eventually if people hold his feet to the fire like they did the completionist.

Hipocracy is next level if he is guilty in any way after all his videos on completionist and charity scamming.

Am I the only one who didn’t see an issue with this? When I give money to Walmart, I have no interest in what they do with my money. I give money to Twitch streamers because it feels good to give them money. I got my end of the bargain. What, are we gonna start policing what everyone does with all money now? That’s authoritarian! Tell me you are fascist without telling me you are fascist. In any case, capitalism doesn’t provide enough rewards in order to create joy. When I watch streamers unwrapping cards, I feel like I’m flying. I have really severe social anxiety and given that economic times are so tough right now, I am prolly gonna get evicted lol, I need streamers to get me through the day. And you know what? Fuck you! You are just some loser on a forum, and you think Asmongold can’t just do what he does? Fuck y’all!
Dude, are you doing a bit? Your posts have been increasingly strange, are you doing ok? I'm worried about you pal.

Yes, influencers get payed to influence people, this is how it works. Could sound bad if it's for charity, but not surprising.

I don't like Asmon, don't watch him. Don't care for him

However wheres the proof that this is on OTK as an organization? I'm sure Asmon personally didn't handle that money. I have to agree with Asmon here, anyone can make up allegations. Show proof
Who needs proof when we have cancel culture. Cancel his ass!

sadly isn’t a charity giving more than half the money it raises to the causes actually rare?
Yup, which is why I don’t give to charities anymore. Same for UN - remember each time you give them money you are supporting a gargantuan org. You want to build wells in Mali? Find a charity doing that over there, not the UN.

That's straight up how charity's work, half the shit gets absorbed by there own cost so they can all drive 100k cars, rent or buy ridiculous expensive property's etc etc.

Flying to said charity, spend 1 day at charity in said country, hold a 2 week 5 star hotel vacation etc etc.

Dick and suck.

Nothing better than waking up to that duo going to town on your hog.

Edit: that didn’t come out quite right but… getting a BJ is more awesome.

Asmongold does something to piss off cancel culture gaf:"yas king, you the best, one of the good guys"
Asmongold does something bad gaf:"I always knew this guy was an asshole"

You people are either incredibly idiotic or very bipolar.

Ain't this the same as what happened on Era to Brad?

Also I notice that people specifically point out Asmon, I'm assuming because he's the only one to respond?

So far this just looks like something a shitty marketing company did to make it worth their while... we know how much they took, we have nothing on what it went too.

I pointed this out before, but it's not as exciting as "Asmon bad" so...

Blaming cancel culture everytime, but jump to fucking conclusions after an article on site without undeniable proof....yep...that's Gaf for you.

Why using middle men in the first place? Why should I give an internet dude money and hope he donates it for the cause? Why not giving it foundations, trusts or charity associations directly?

If I want money to flow to a cause I'd use my reach and network to raise awareness and tell people where they can donate it. No way I'd collect it myself and be responsible for other people's money.

Yes, there is just a single person behind all these accounts. What an inconsequent person he is.

I follow them on twitch but I havent kept up with the drama as I prefer to play games instead but I do know theres a lawsuit going. Most of the OTK just prefer to stay passive and away from all the drama. Mizkif did some dumb shit, still does, yet everyone still follows him. Also why would literal millionaires take charity money? I mean, common sense seems to be vanishing around here lately.

Because this is how charities work, unless their a multinational with their own dedicated marketing staff they will hire an outside company to run a drive and sign an agreement that some of the money raised goes into paying said marketers their fees. Because they lack the expertise, 60% of 5 million is better than 100% of 40k.

Like when you see someone outside with a collection tin in the middle of the week, that dudes going to be paid to stand there. He will be an agency worker who will have been approached by either a charity directly or a marketing firm hired by said charity to stand and collect money for the drive.

This is just a form of this, the charity hired a marketing firm, the marketing firm approached the streamers in the same way they would approach the agency for staff, they would offer payment for the job.

This is of course pure speculation, but my second job was for a charity and that's how they operated their drives, although I was based on the store side we had plenty of cross over. They could turn out to be pieces of shit too, but I would rather wait and see on that since it's already confirmed a firm specialising in this was hired as a middleman.

He should do a reaction video to him cleaning his house first:

Pretty sure it's a well known secrect that most of the money doesn't actually go to charity. Why I don't donate money

I host a charity event that pulls in around 50k-70k for Child’s Play every year, which isn’t a huge amount, but at least we donate 100% of the proceeds. The hell are these “influencers” doing?

Best case scenario, they're scaling up so that they can pull in more money and be able to donate 1 million, at the cost of less efficiency. It's great that you can run your event at a 100% donation pass through efficiency, but wouldn't you agree that if you scaled up 10x, those marginal costs that you are currently donating your time and money to start to become a little less marginal?

Worst case scenario, they are cooking the books and pocketing more than they "need" to, under the guise of "administrative costs".

Simple.

Like Hollywood and sports celebs, if they know they can command a fee for selling a product or promoting a charity, they'll ask for a fee to do the work. Also it seems they hired some kind of marketing company that cost them over $2M. Whatever they did who knows.

If anyone here really thinks all the celebs do their charity stuff for free with no fees, no free airfare, no free hotel and food, etc.... youre kidding yourselves. These are the same people who when commanding a big salary for a movie to also have the studio comp them free stuff in the entire city and pay the salary of their assistants driving them around.

If you (and any buddies included) can raise around $60k every year, you never know. I dont. But maybe if you guys told Childs Play you raise $60k every year and will stop doing it unless you get paid $5k, maybe they'll reimburse you a cut for 5k after its all said and done.

Or perhaps, you dont care about getting a cut no matter how much you raise and just keep handling it yourself for free.

Or maybe there's zero rules on charity giving. If you raise $60k, is there a law that says you cant keep half of it for yourself because you feel like it as you fee and operational expense?

Asmon wouldn't scam like this, the source of the article is also a random nobody trying to get attention while have ZERO proof of anything he's accusing people of. I hope they sue the fuck out of his ass.
