These cost a 5-10 bucks more than the Vans slip-ons, kinda harsh for what is essentially a stolen design. However I find the quality of materials is somewhat higher.

Because if we don't, we'll trip and break our teeth, just as mom warned us.

I'm guessing you don't go out much

I don't really give a shit about shoes either, but I certainly spend more than $30.

I won't spend more than $100, though. That's just retarded.

People actually care about shoes?

I get whatever is under 30 dollars and doesn't hurt.
bad shoes could lead to back problems later. Not saying to go out and buy the most expensive pair, but you should get quality.

Apparently Vans.com never displays the type of Vans that I buy.

They aren't typical skater shoes, they look more like dress shoes.

Edit: Oh, found them

Win, I wear Old Skools too.. but they are really "typical skater shoes", because Vans and its wafflesole started the whole skateboardingshoe craze back in the 60's

Got one of these too.

This is what I wear when it's cold, and I'm not at work (I have to wear dress shoes at work).

work shoes - althought there almost EXACTLY the same, mine are a bit more rounded off on the tip.

I can't really find my everyday shoe online but I'll keep looking.

are those (red) shoes from the gap, nander? i like 'em.

They are part of Converse's Red Collection (you know, one of those products where some of the money are used to fight AIDS).

I bought them when I was in New York two-three weeks ago. I can't remember the name of the store, but it was somewhere around West 34-36th Street. Big shoe store, very similiar to Foot Locker.

EDIT: Footaction USA! I figured it out :)

I alternate between these

switched the laces though, the blacks have white laces, and vice-versa.

those are nice kicks. where and how much? :D

Zappos.com has them for $73. These are my first pair of Ultimate 81s and they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I think I might get a pair of Mexico 66s next.

No boot wearers yet?

Imagine a pair of these, but three years old.

I never "got" boots. It always seemed like uncomfortable fashion overkill. Also, they never matched any of the shit I wore.

I also have a year old pair of Kenneth Cole Reactions that I ware to work. They look exactly like these but they are black and look better.

Edit: that picture really looks nothing like them, they are not textured like the brown ones. they are more of a matte color. Here is a picture of the actual shoe (a little beat up as it's a year old)

Conversely, I find them extremely comfortable. Not as comfortable as running shoes, but I prefer footwear that can take a bit of punishment for everyday use.

I love boots but puncture-resistant does not scream comfort to me. Vibram soles are stiff enough without having a steel plate directly above them.

Your milage may vary, but I never found stiffness to be a source of discomfort; given decent liners.

...It's most likely that the great level of protection these boots provide will be the last thing on your mind thanks to the outstanding comfort features. Keeping your feet comfortably warm on those rainy or chilly days is the 200 gram Thinsulate insulation. The amazingly comfortable Cambrelle lining is thought by many to be the best in the world. We're sure you'll agree once you experience the durability, comfort and moisture-wicking properties of these incredible liners. The direct-injected polyurethane midsoles offer lightweight shock absorption and the TPU outsoles are non-slip, non-marking and oil-resistant.

...And that's the end of that chapter.

If you've got a better suggestion that doesn't involve buying nothing but slip-ons are starting an Internet campaign to try and convince Nike to make the Back to the Future Power Laces, I'm all ears.

(Seriously, sometimes fashion reaches levels of true stupidity.)

What are you supposed to do if you don't tie your shoes. You can't just have the laces in the shoes, that would be uncomfortable.

This is a serious question, I do agree that tying them sort of "ruins the look".
