I honestly did not know that a regular DS could even be used to browse the internet, let alone store files.

I assumed it was referring to a DSi/DSi XL, which can actually do those things. There was a standalone game card browser for the DS Lite/DS Phat though.

I've probably said this before, but the Catholic Church's crappy handling of these situations is the issue here. Often, if there's one of these priests, the usual tactic is "Yank him out of there for a while, assign him somewhere else." That does absolutely nothing. I'm not religious myself, but a few years ago, in the Catholic church my family goes to, the pastor just randomly left one weekend and was replaced. There wasn't much of an explanation, he was just sad about leaving, got to make a farewell speech, etc. Months later, they read a letter from the bishop explaining what happened. He had sex with a married woman. Granted, I was quite glad to hear it was only that and not another pedophile priest, but I still noticed something: They handled it exactly the same way as the pedophile priests. Yank him out of there, and then months later, he was reassigned somewhere else in the state. Granted, that's a COMPLETELY different situation, but I find it strange that both of those things *should* be big no-no's in the Catholic church, and that's their response to both of them.

Isn't that what got us here.

What the hell is wrong with these guys? If you like this shit then why the hell are you a priest. Fuck this shit makes me so mad. Makes Catholicism look like a damn joke.

You have to be pretty hard up to use the Nintendo DSi browser to browse anything. I suppose you could just download the porn to an SD card and then view it remotely.

Imagine how fucked in the head you are that you have porn on a device and forget about it. You must just be consumed by your obsession to forget something like that.

If he was a catholic priest? Nope, his fault for joining an organization that protects and enables child molesters.

Fucking lol. Whether is whining about Apple or Catholicism, you sure are determined. My fault for joining a forum that enables and protects...oh wait, generalization sucks.

Also, lol at the priest. Any guy that gets into priesthood at 55 should raise a few flags. I mean they screen you for gayness when you want to be one, a 55 yr old guy with a ds should probably be given a janitorial position or widow counseling exclusively.

Not really. One of the fastest growing groups of men in seminaries are middle aged men who have children but their wives have passed away.

Now the Daily Mail and other tabloid papers are going use this in there anti gaming agenda, I can just imagine the headlines.

"Pedo's Best Friend - Nintendo DS"

Console boxes are going to start have quotes from nonces lol.

"When I'm not building houses on The Sims for Nintendo DS, I use it to browse ALL my favourite pictures or chat to other like minded gentlemen on Pictochat, 5 STARS" - Josef Fritzl

This just adds oil to the fire from the previous news about Al Quaeda and Taliban terrorists chatting freely over PSN over a game of Little Big Planet.

Odd thing about that. In the wake of the John Jay report, it was determined by the researchers that the majority of abusers didn't identify as homosexuals, even though 80% of the cases featured a male victim. This is why the Church doesn't test just for 'gayness', but subjects seminarians to a very thorough psychological screening. I've heard its quite rigorous and turns a fair number of applicants away.

Interesting. I say gayness jokingly, don't get me wrong. I've also heard about the rigor of the test, but then I hear itt that many of the recently ordained priests are older men, hence my suspicion; if the church is in a vocational crisis (as it is) they might lower the bar to make up for the lack of interest among younger men. I admit I ignore many of the institution's intricacies. Not that I want to become a theologian with a vita or something.
