No. He could move like a real referee and have some motion in his arms telling the players to continue the play, but no.Gamecocks625 said:Does the ref have an on-field animation for this?
Shikashi said:No. He could move like a real referee and have some motion in his arms telling the players to continue the play, but no.
I think it did, yeah, but maybe I'm mistaken. The thing is, we wouldn't even need the animation if they gave us the icon. Just think about it, PES was the first game to feature it and then, for whatever reason, they decided to dump it. Now, FIFA has both the icon and the animation... screw this, seriously. How lazy are those guys? A fucking yellow icon and they can't get around putting it into the game.Gamecocks625 said:Didn't the PS2 have that animation in for the refs? I thought it was in PES6/WEES 2007
Shikashi said:True that they need to bring back the "play-on" icon. It was really helpful and it's become even more of a necessity now because you never know if the refs using the advantage rule or not.
Returners said:HUH? WHAT ITS GONE?
I was wondering why I didn't get the icon for some fouls made on me.

CaVaYeRo said:So true. But don't just give it a simple try. You'll have to train, learn and enjoy the awesome and deep mechanics to really appreciate this and the balance work behind 2010 - and I think not many people is really trying.
BTW, I have my review (in Spanish) up.
PS: Free kicks need a dedicated championship!
Id est, lock Seabass in a basement and put Chosokabe in charge of PES 2011 across all platforms.CaVaYeRo said:So true. But don't just give it a simple try. Konami just shot themselves in the foot.Shikashi said:Alright, fuck this, I've had enough of this piece of shit game. To think that I wasted 70 on this crap, and that I could have bought Uncharted 2 instead, makes me want to throw up.
Fuck you, Konami. Last PES I'm going to buy. For 3 years I've seen you drive your franchise to the ground, and I even gave you the benefit of the doubt with this game, but fuck you already. I'm not going to force myself to play this shit anymore. Become a Legend is a fucking joke, your team-mates are retards. If I keep playing it, I might have to check into anger management therapy or something.
That's it, for me. You guys have fun and keep on hoping that "Next year is the year!", "Return of the King!", yadda, yadda, yadda. Jumping boat to FIFA again. Seeing as I can't have fun with either game, might as well go for the one where developers are actually trying and where Be a Pro isn't complete horse shit.
G'day to you.
Ladies and gentleman, behold, jts. :loljts said:Konami just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about football games culture (I'm an expert), but animations and AI are huge parts of it. It's not like random shooters where you can become successful by being shit. If you screw someone over on footy games, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is that Shikashi, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase PES for any system, nor will he purchase any of Konami's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Konami has alienated an entire costumer with this move.
Konami, publicly apologize and fix your game or you can kiss your business goodbye.
You could say that, seeing how he even likes PES 2008.Shikashi said:Ladies and gentleman, behold, jts. :lol
Though, you know that when dyon doesn't like PES, it's gotta be terrible.
i've been playing PES 2010 for the last 3 hours. It's amazing. I thought they couldn't top PES 2009 in terms of gameplay mechanics, and all they had to do was now to improve graphics and sound. Well, they did the opposite:CaVaYeRo said:So true. But don't just give it a simple try. marc^o^ said:Gamepro.fr just reviewed PES 2010 Wii.
They loved it, say it refined all gameplay aspects, say it's the best PES and the real soccer simulation on the market right now.
I'll say this in PES 2008's defense, at least it was fun to play and feints weren't done with the same analog stick as movement.jts said:You could say that, seeing how he even likes PES 2008.
But fuck, don't tell me that PES 2008 is better than 2010. PES 2008 is the absolute worst. PES. ever. It's the only PES I owned and sold afterwards and I don't regret it.
Extreme mood swinging, OCD, you just have it all, don't you?Shikashi said:I'll say this in PES 2008's defense, at least it was fun to play and feints weren't done with the same analog stick as movement.
Not saying it's better or worse btw.
Speaking of selling games, the only reason why I haven't sold this yet is because you can't erase Achievements from your Gamertag. Seriously. And now I'm regretting using my PS3 to play the full game because it locked Trophies to my PSN account... even if I haven't unlocked any.
Same. Been waiting for that to start both ML and Become a Legend.Srider said:The real patch is coming on Tuesday.
Can not wait...
I can finally start master league...
I love you too, <3. And stop being bitchy that I didn't buy the PS3 version. :loljts said:Extreme mood swinging, OCD, you just have it all, don't you?
marc^o^ said:- they tweaked gameplay to a new perfection with better collisions, more animation, better IA in defense, better one-two, better headers, better free kicks, better pace with quicker first intention passes...
Actually, I stand corrected. They do have on-field animation for this.Gamecocks625 said:Does the ref have an on-field animation for this?

Oh, I guess online matches are region locked? what about that 4vs4 mode? does it work?
I couldn't play online b4 the review, so I'll add some opinion later. Connection is supposed and promised to be much better than in 2009, which is not so difficult, TBH.
Well, think again. PES 2010 on wii with nunchuk/wiimote set up is 10 fold superior to FIFA or PES HD. Besides the fact there is ZERO script whatsoever and that you can pass the ball wherever you want (ie make a tiny pass that stops 2 meters away from your player), this 2010 version has been refined to a point the gameplay is perfect. You can expect anything on the field, something new happens every match. It's real football/soccer. I've been playing soccer game with classic controllers on every consoles for 20 years, they are my favorite games. This gem is so above anything that has been produced so far, it's not even funny.Blablurn said:i hope they release a patch for sonys motion controller. but i still think that the classic control is the superior one...
marc^o^ said:I will develop further in a future post, but after extensive play on PES 2010 Wii let me tell this straight: THIS IS THE BEST SOCCER GAME EVER CREATED.

Dash Kappei said:How would that even work, you'd end up like that ps3 RE5 Alternative abortion where you play with the wand on one hand and a dualshock3 to shoot on the other :lol
The real (roster) update is out!
Seems like there are stat changes and updated rosters. Can't get to the game at the moment, so it remains to be seen if there are any changes that impact the gameplay.

There's a learning curve and it's on wii so most people won't even try to see what I'm talking about. But this game is a miracle for soccer fans, a MIRACLE.
Dash Kappei said:I need to know something before rushing out to buy it: One thing that pissed me off about 2009 was how they wasted -IMO- all the potential of the awesome Wii controls + Classic controls Co-Op, since the CC player could only just control 1 and only player for attacking and another 1 for defending and that's it, he couldn't switch through different players while using Classic Controls (as it's possible to do in single player), making it no fun at all for your mates playing with CC in Co-Op mode.
Has that been changed?
It's you.Srider said:Is it just me or did the game get much harder after this update?

Charred Greyface said:Picked up the game recently and I'm shocked at how hard it is to score penalties. I just had a round where only one was scoredand that was a shot taken straight down the middle that somehow managed to get between the keeper's legs. Every other shot went off target. What gives?
Actually there was something wrong with penalties in the previous versions. It was really easy to use any decent player and aim a penalty for the top corners (basically unsaveable). In sharp contrast to the penalties I described above, I would regularly have rounds where each penalty would be go swooshing into the net until the lumbering central defenders stepped up...JustAnotherOtaku said:Yup, penalties are a joke in this years version. There was nothing wrong with them before, no idea why they changed it!
