I love Quantum Break for what it could have been. It looked incredible, I loved the way objects moved around the environment using the powers, I actually quite enjoyed the acting/story, and heck I even liked the tv show.
Unfortunately, the combat was relatively one note. Played on the most difficult setting and it was still pretty easy, and there are only so many ways that situations can be approached with the limited time powers. I think the weakest thing about this game is that the encounters all felt very same-y and the powers were boring. They could have done so much more with the time element (ie, replay portions of sections, but being able to flank your previous run through and take out different enemies, being able to do rewind moments like in Remember Me, etc). With better powers and better battles, this game vastly improves.
I feel Quantum Break would have benefited if it was an episodic game. Release a chapter every 1st of the month and release an FMV episode every 15th, provide a reason for replay ability (add a scoring system to chapters or have a variety of ways a chapter can be beaten like Hitman). My previous paragraph with this delivery would make Quantum Break way better and more of a year-long event. It's a shame we aren't going to get a sequel.
