White men are considered a group because both traits are protected, while female drivers and black children, like radicalized Muslims, are subsets, because one of their characteristics is not protected.

Look I think the rules are flawed, but the way the article frames it to try and elicit a kneejerk is ultra shitty.

White Men are protected because it's [race][sex], so black men and black women and all other racial identities/sex combinations are also protected groups.

White children are also technically fair game, as are male drivers.
