From the outset it looked like a weird move. Only a select amount of titles, no transfer from PS3, and crazy pricing whichever way you sliced it (and I suppose if you're a daydream believer, no disc support)
It's been a few months since they launched, and the service has been updated at a snail's pace. I've been vocal in the past about how Sony puts really low effort into its Classics range, particularly in some regions. If you look at the total amount of PS1/PS2 Classics released over the PS3's lifetime in Europe for example, it's actually quite embarrassing.
The problem also seems to stem from the fact that a LOT of high-ranking PS2 games already have a HD remaster on PS3, which would;
1) Be more effort to port
2) Make an inferior "upscale" New Classic seem out of place
I guess I just find it weird Sony bothered in the first place if they were again going to massively not bother. Any excuse to charge 4x as much for GTA as they do on iOS perhaps.
