Also, can I use the Xbox 360 Rock Band USB mic?

I'd recommend Singstar 90's or Singstar Legends. Some amazing tracks on there. Legends has got Rocketman, Life on Mars, Reet Petite, Ring of Fire.... great, great songs.
Koren said:I don't own Karaoke revolution myself, but I tried a japanese version. If that's the same karaoke revolution, it seemed to me that KR is more "hardcore". You only have the background music, not the vocals, so the difficulty was far higher, especially when you don't know well the songs.
I think they're targetted towards very different peoples.

Karaoke Revolution uses a scrolling pitch/lyric bar, has customizable characters, actual gameplay beyond a score, and covers of songs, so you can drown out the vocals. Plus minigames and more true duets. It uses any USB microphone.
I could nto disagree more. KR >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Singstar.ram said:singstar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> karaoke revolution
enough said, if you want one - get singstar (now even for ps3 aviable), karaoke revo loses in the core gameplay quite bad.

Sony ripped Harmonix off with Singstar, so why would you want the rip off?
SingStar is made by SCE London Studios.rSpooky said:( I cannot speak for the new ps3 version of singstar) (made by harmonix..nuff said)
Bren McGuire said:Can't you do that in Singstar too? I've never played it, but that's the whole idea of karaoke. Sing instead of the original lead, not beside him, right?
yes it is .. I suffered from bad editing itis..(fixed now) KR is made by harmonix ..hence I meant nuff said... I love harmonix's games.Wollan said:SingStar is made by SCE London Studios.
MadFuzzy said:On the PS3 version (and the first PAL Singstar game) yes, but not on other versions.
The reason on PS2 is that they couldn't get hold of the master tracks of every song that they wanted and it was restricting their song selections (since Singstar's selling point is authenticity, with the original artists and videos rather than using covers). For the PS3 version they came up with a software solution that works fairly well.
bishopcruz said:Well, found a copy of KR Party at Gamestop for $20, so I snatched it up. Seemed worth it since I couldn't find a cheaper price online. I'm amazed at the song selection, but I have a question, does it have any sort of single player mode other than quickplay? I tend to enjoy a progression in my games, and while quickplay is cool, something else might be nice. Mayhaps I'm just missing it.
Hopefully I can find KR3 as it looks badass.
pilonv1 said:The only people recommending KR are those who haven't played Singstar. Granted the US version of Singstar doesn't have the wide range but it's such a polished product you really cannot overlook it.
Donkey Thong said:On the topic of KR V. 3 (which I agree is the best karaoke game on the PS2), has anybody else had problems playing it on a PS3? All the other KR games work fine on mine (60 gig) but KR would fail to pick up the mic signal. So sad.
M3wThr33 said:Singstar lets you save your performance, take pictures, video, audio, and alter the playback. On a PS2 and Euro PS3s (Or any software BC ones) you can switch Singstar discs without rebooting.
