Right, because screaming kids have no idea WHAT to ask for, they just scream for a gaming system. Not the same one their friends have, or the one they saw on TV, or any other external input. It's simply "I want a game system" and parents go buy the cheapest one.

Folks need to realize that there is a massive $70 gap between what the XB1 is offering and the PS4 bundles.

That's too much of a sticker shock for consumers during the holidays.

Oh boy oh boy why would you ignore the success of Apple products, luxury cars, nice watches, or anything else where people pay a premium for better quality? Yeah, some will go cheap and get the One based solely on price. But lesser products are supposed to be less expensive, though that does not mean people won't pay more for better things.

I feel like MS needs to offer a kids bundle. All of their bundles are skewing mature but to take advantage of the price difference they need to skew towards parents as well.

LBP3 is surprisingly getting an advertisement run.. but I think I saw it watching South Park of all things. They need to put that ad on more family-friendly shows

It's definitely a smart bundle. I wonder who has a partnership with Skylanders. Is that still the big thing for kids?

Anyways, if retailers add on to the base bundle, GTA V plastered on most PS4s seems like a huge seller. I have no desire to get GTA again, but there are a surprising number of people wanting to repurchase it.

I also imagine that the first expansion DLC will resurge sales, whenever that's announced

At least according to amazon, Ps4 core is still outselling Xbox one core and its $50 dollars cheaper. In fact it's only trailing to the Assassin Creed bundle. That wasn't the case when this month started.

Amazon are not the biggest retailer for game consoles, though they do give a good indication of sales trends. As of now the Assassins Creed bundle is 5 positions higher than the PS4, though we don't know how many units difference that is (e.g 1000, 10,000 etc).

The recent bad reviews and publicity of AC Unity may have an impact on the Xbox AC bundle, while the Sony bundles does include 2 highly reviewed games. Basically Microsoft haven't won this month yet.

Joke post? I can't tell anymore. Shipping more consoles to stores in the past 2 weeks than your competitors isn't exactly "selling more since 2 weeks".

XBO is going to sell a ton of consoles in November, but please don't use MS PR spin that was released simply to combat poor NPD results as your defense.

No one has thrown in anything extra so far. The last possible place would be Gamestop and they never add anything. Amazon matches all the popular deals so they won't be throwing in anything.

People should probably consider that retailers don't feel the need to throw in something more because they feel like it doesn't need the help selling.

$350 for XBO with 2 games vs $400 for PS4 with 2 games is actually pretty much the price people have been looking for to be complete parity between them based on the spec difference.

People have been saying for the past year that XBO should be $350 based on its specs compared to the $400 PS4. Now that it finally is the price people expected for it to even be competitive, suddenly the XBO is the "killer deal" that totally eclipses the more powerful system?
