I'm with you. I also finally got myself a PlayStation 5 on Saturday. I got the system with the Blu-ray drive, no game in the box, but I did pick up Astro Bot on the side. I haven't hooked up the system yet, but will do so later this week.
That's cool. I saw so much positive press for Astro Bot, and one of my friends was also raving about it. I figured it would be a great game to start with. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Yep, I contacted their support and they say it stacks if you have existing. I'm gonna pick it up too, this'll get me set till summer '27.

It's a million times better than what I used to do before, buy at full price, play and be done with the game in a couple of weeks and then try to sell it for $20 or so less on facebook marketplace :-/
I don't want to keep every game I play and those I want to keep, I keep regardless of rental or not.

Edit: Disregard. I just chatted with Gamefly and they said the three months additional hasn't been sent out yet. It is sent separately

Outside of absolute must haves, I buy very little on launch. But I keep everything anyway. Most games I try to wait for 15-40 depending on how much I want it. I used to buy a lot more new games at 50 or even when PSX was 40 was awesome. But 70 or 80 sometimes is a big ask. Paradoxical since so much value has inflated from currency since then, but it is what it is.

That's not a great deal, but it was $620 for Excellent condition just a few days ago when I picked it up. It should drop again over BF I am thinking. Throw in 20% PayPal rebate and you can get a $1000 OLED for basically half the price.
It's the same with the Lenovo Legion S Z1E model where Excellent return is $530. Throw in the crazy PayPal cashback and you are looking at $400 with a full warranty.

Game has only been out a month, and it seems to be doing really well and getting great word of mouth. It's one of the two games still in the Steam top 10 global sellers that's full price. I wouldn't expect a discount until the spring sale at the earliest... maybe -10% off (saving you $3). If you're interested in the game, just jump in. It's fantastic, I'm almost done with it, and it may end up being my actually real-deal GOTY.

Could you imagine a world with where this was the "5060" must-have $300 GPU. Alas. 8GB...9yrs later. What was nice is that they didn't have the Walmart $369 offer as the main listing, they had Newegg's $449, so I think that threw the bots off for a while. It was there overnight and into the afternoon.

Tonight I bought KCD II for PS5 for $30. Pretty good deal. Almost went for Monster Hunter Wilds, but I think I'd prefer KCD II more. MCC on Steam is $9.99 so I bought it for a friend.

I did see 16GB on BestBuy and Microcenter for $429, but with the latter PayPal is tricky. Still not as good as $369 - 20%. Like you said, this is the price these cards should have been at, but here we are

No gpu.. You should pass on it. Find something nice with a GPU in it. Even if you don't want to game on it primarily, it will come in handy when or if you ever decide to play a few games on it on the go.
Also, better resale value. But that is my 2 cent.
