PS4 Black Friday Deals Revealed

Oh we will know. Even if Xbone outsells PS4 by grand margin of one console, MS is going to shout it from the top of a mountain.

We still won't know by what margin though. MS will just proclaim the XB1 was the highest selling console in November and we'll be stuck wondering how much more they sold.

This is my first year in the US, any tips for ordering one of these bundles online come black Friday?

Save yourself a trip to the store and order on Amazon. Make sure to check a few days prior to Black Friday to see when the deals go live.

Trust me, avoid the Black Friday crowd. It's when people turn into animals.

The only way this determines who wins the generation is if Sony ends up still winning each month. If a $329 with 2-3 games XBO with decent exclusives can't beat Sony's $400 with 2 games PS4 with all the heavy hitters not even released yet, in Microsoft's most important territory, then I think I can safely say that it will never catch up. Not WW anyway.

This generation was pretty much wrapped up months ago. Even the US isn't looking all that competitive anymore.

I am surprised each time I hear Phil Spencer talk about how X-Box One has so many games coming out at the end of next year that they are going to have to start delaying games...You'd figure they, meaning MS, would want to have some bundles to compete with Sony and Nintendo directed at kids. I already have my PS4 and hope more people pick up PS4's to have a strong community, however; to paraphrase Gordon Gecko "Competition like Greed is Good" I am probably coming off base but I hope Sony can keep the momentum going with these bundles. But anyone thinking Microsoft has this Winter won wait a bit and see how the market sway before believing its all Microsoft from here on out.

Absolutely not.

Yup quite the opposite. With Sony's hand now revealed, MS can rest easy that they've got the entire holiday season on lock. MS ready for that regular season!

Where does all of this MS confidence come from?

Their number 1 competitor is now undercutting them severely, so no, this isn't at all like the market situation this past year.

$399 is not being competitive at all.

Exactly, because buying the better hardware system for $50-70 more actually makes sense.

Does Microsoft have a good track record of acquiring franchises from other developers and remaining true to the franchise? I think a Naughty Dog developed Uncharted is probably going to be truer to the franchise than a Black Tusk Studio developed Gears game.
To be honest. Gears on Xbox One will be big. I. Sure there are people that handle this franchise with utmost care now that its been acquired from Epic. I think having a new studio handle the game can only mean good things. Fresh ideas and concepts. The last 2 Gears games lost there identity. Things got s bit wayward. Having a new studio take over, well, lets say IMO i'd welcome fresh ideas (going by the last average/poor) Gears showing.Typing on ipad is a bitch.

It is never catching up worldwide, no matter how much more XB1 sells than PS4 in USA.

That would do wonders for this bundle.

THAT would be phenomenal value.

You get that exact bundle with 12 months PS Plus in the UK for £399

If the X1 wasnt outselling the PS4 based on price so far this month you might be on to something…

Of course price drop gives you small time boost always. I am not just so sure that selling better during first half of november (and by how much? significantly? marginally?) is enough to tell that Xbox One takes the whole month when the latter two weeks are probably something like 80% of the total sales of the month and these PS4 bundles are still pretty solid. PS4 still has that mindshare advantage that it has gathered from selling whole this year more than Xbox One. Its sales lead is already based on more things than just a price. Dropping Xbox one to same price point did a jack shit.

not when the xbl is $70 cheaper.

An XB1 and a free game for $399 couldn't beat a $450 PS4 with just "Destiny"

This bundle has one of (if not, the) best selling games of all time with a free remaster of a game that managed to top the NPD charts. They have a pretty good bundle in terms of games. I don't know if anyone can say the AC Xbox One bundle is even comparable if your goal is to simply have a game right out of the box.

So a question about this, it says starts at 6pm on Thursday at the top but the online offer at the bottom says all day Thursday...is that also starting at 6pm then or not? If someone knows pls let me know...it's tempting lol

The online ones seems to be a different bundle for each console. The ones in store at 6PM are cheaper and the ones online are a little pricier

I don't think that it would be smart of MS to raise the price back up after the holidays. It would cheat future XBONE owners and it would add more bad press. Their best bet is to keep the $349 price as is and force Sony to make a move on their price. Even though I'm a PS4 owner, with the $349 price tag + Halo + COD + AC:Unity, I don't see how MS can lose in November's NPD.

The first few months of the year are the worst sales-wise for consoles. A $50 price difference won't matter much. MS can drop the price again if sales are still sluggish in 2015.

Sony must be really confident if they don´t feel the need to offer more.
Microsoft is pushing hard to win this fall. Maybe the two weeks that Microsoft won after the price drop isn´t by a significant margin, so they see this as being just enough to pull them ahead.

That, or they´re fine with losing November and potentially December.

This thread makes me feel like I've been time warped back to IGN Forums. lol.
But for real guys. Both systems will sell out.

This. I think they will both be ok regardless who sells more this holiday, however nominal that amount is. It is 2015 where we will get to see the long term ramifications of MS's aggressive pricing and bundles this year has had. Short term gains, long term......we'll see.

Regardless of who wins November, Sony is going to sell as many GTA5/TLOU PS4 bundles as they can put on shelves at $400, whether that's enough to close the perceived gap or not we'll wait and see, but a console box with GTA5 splashed across the front is going to move a hell of a lot of units.

How good of a deal that is depends on if the options for games is whatever you want or if they make you choose. If they make you choose between games worth $20-$30 now, it's not that great. If you can choose brand new $60 games, then it's much better. Do we have any details yet? Usually on bundles like that on Walmart, they make you choose between certain items, so I'm very skeptical.

Yes the online one is worth it tho, PS4 + 4 games for 450 basically

my question is more on when that actually goes on sale..as in at what time? The in store stuff says 6pm on Thursday but the online one says all day Thursday..all day as in starting at midnight Wednesday or something else?

I really don't understand that XB1 AC bundle. How about some variety? The last thing I want to do after playing 30hrs of AC is to play 30hrs more of AC.

I don't think confident is the reason, more like not enough supply.

Great bundles. Wish I had the money for one.

Anyway, I expect the LBP3 & Lego bundle to do a whole lot better than people think. I've seen that LBP3 commercial at least 15 times in the last couple of days on various channels. It's the most Sony has advertised a specific game since maybe inFamous. And, I wish LBP3 was the physical copy instead. Don't care for Lego.

Edit: If MS sells more console in November and December, it won't be by much. People are really underestimating the PS4's popularity.
