PS4 Black Friday Deals Revealed

Sony must be really confident if they don´t feel the need to offer more.
Microsoft is pushing hard to win this fall. Maybe the two weeks that Microsoft won after the price drop isn´t by a significant margin, so they see this as being just enough to pull them ahead.

That, or they´re fine with losing November and potentially December
.

In America. WW they're still going to win.

Yes the online one is worth it tho, PS4 + 4 games for 450 basically

my question is more on when that actually goes on sale..as in at what time? The in store stuff says 6pm on Thursday but the online one says all day Thursday..all day as in starting at midnight Wednesday or something else?

If I were to guess, I'd say midnight EST. So as soon as Thanksgiving starts. Considering how good the deal it, it would be best to call the store and find out for sure. I'm guessing Thursday sales will be 12AM EST November 17

Not if they want to compete with Tomb Raider XBO.

Uncharted sells more in 1 platform than TR sells in 3. In terms of exclusives (not 4-6 timed like TR is), it will be between Halo and Uncharted. Uncharted will win for the simple fact that there will be a lot more PS4 gamers than X1.

Why should they. With steady PS4 sales and consumers falling over their feet to purchase a PS4, there is no need for Sony to react as MS has.
Sony are still doing remarkable business at a higher price point. This gives them more freedom to lower prices next year if they need or want to.
Can MS sustain this sales push outside of the holiday period without taking much of a loss? That's the question.

100k is an extremely conservative guess on my part. Seeing 200-300k or more wouldn't shock me in the least. They're being aggressive as fuck right now, and I have a gut feeling it's going to pay dividends in both sales and momentum.

Sales for 1 -2 months, yes. Momentum? Not a chance. PS4 has an excellent 2015 lineup of games coming. I cannot imagine any world where Microsoft's shareholders will continue to allow the company to give away the store with the Xbox One just to move a few more systems. Assuming Microsoft wins both November and December, it is not likely to be by humongous margins considering Sony is also offering aggressive bundles and their price point is only $50 higher, along with public perception that they are offering the better product.

Sales for both XB1 and PS4 will be very high this holiday season, that is without question. Assuming MS wins both November and December, the overall difference this will make in terms of LTD sales is unlikely to move the needle significantly considering how well the PS4 has sold over the last year, especially once we zoom out from the US and start looking at worldwide performance.

Microsoft appears to be giving away the store just to claim a Pyrrhic PR victory regarding November and December NPD numbers. It may very well work, but the blind assumption that this strategy is going to have huge momentum seems highly far-fetched--especially when there is nothing to stop Sony from dropping the price to $350 in the unlikely event that the XB1 suddenly becomes a serious threat to the PS4's overarching, worldwide dominance.

Does it really matter who wins November and December? Besides to console warriors. It's the shopping season. Fact is both consoles are going to sell massive amounts of units.

Not if they want to compete with Tomb Raider XBO.

Why would they care about Tomb Raider? The last ND game sold more as an exclusive than TR did, and now our good friend Phil even made sure that the two games can't be played on the same platform (at least for awhile) so now there is basically no reason to be concerned for competition between the two.

I love Uncharted just as much as the next guy but god damn. This is Halo we talking about here.

I think the PS4 deal is plenty competitive. Two great games included for the price of the system? Places like Walmart are adding in 50 dollar gift cards as well, making the bundle very attractive. It's just Microsoft is being VERY aggressive in their pricing (and in my opinion, somewhat reckless). Both will do phenomenally, although I widely expect MS to take November and December.

The real question will be: what happens next?

My point is that I'm pretty sure Uncharted 4 was supposed to come out in 2015 around the same time as Tomb Raider so that Uncharted 4 on PS4 can slaughter Tomb Raider XBO.

In no way was I saying it was going to sell in similar numbers. I was saying Sony isn't going to let Uncharted 4 sit until Holiday 2016. No way.

It would be a total shame if Naughty Dog only gets like 2 games out this generation, and releasing their first game 3 years after the console launch. That's a bit too long.

Other than 3, it generally sells 2-3 million more than Uncharted does when they both had roughly the same amount of consumers. This time it's 2:1 and I imagine it will be even more by then unless MS drops the price again.

Fair enough. I think the real battle will be Uncharted vs Halo come November 2015.

Who cares about WW? Microsoft is gonna crush Sony when it matters: November and December in US only. Sony can have the rest of the year and the rest of the world.

You think so? Even at $70 more that GTA5/TLoU bundle shits all over the BF/Unity bundle, even more so now that people know that Unity is garbage.

There will be no "crushing" of anyone this holiday season.

Very nice bundles and nice deals (2 solid games for its respective audience each). Lol at the price parity brigade. The PS4 is not dropping price till at least E3 of 2015.

Haha this is funny. Even if Microsoft wins November and December, it's not like they're going to double PS4 sales during the time period. They still have a huge ground to make up.

Their number 1 competitor is now undercutting them severely, so no, this isn't at all like the market situation this past year.

$399 is not being competitive at all.

Their number one competitor needs to undercut themselves to be competitive. Sony doesn't, yet. They will sell as many hardware as they can at this price and cut the price as needed in the future. Having a bundle with the blockbuster title for the hardcore demographic will make this the top selling bundle of Black Friday.

You can bet your pink ass MS will be doing something similar for Halo 5 to boost sales. It is a system seller.
Uncharted IMO does not appeal as much to the masses as Halo does. Both games head to head in sales? I give it to Halo 5 to come out on top. By how much? Well that's up in the air.
If Sony wants to counter Halo 5 there is only one game in their stable that stands toe to toe with Master Chief. Gran Turismo. Will sell by the boatload in Europe.

MS deal is way better. I'd be shocked if they didn't beat them for November, at this point.

Then again, I was shocked during Titanfall month and price drop month when PS4 still kicked ass. So I guess I wouldn't be that shocked if PS4 still won November :P

But that'd mean he actually believes that the rest of the world pays for consoles with Monopoly money or something. Why else wouldn't their money matter??

It makes my brain hurt.

But didn't you know? In the world of gaming, US = the world! No other country matters, no other region matters, best developers, best gamers, and best games! And of course the only months that actually matter in the good old US of A is Black Friday month and Christmas! Nothing is more American than that!

I hope for the sack of my sanity nobody actually thinks this way.

This has to be a joke post. If serious...got any stock tips? Just want to be sure I'm investing in the competitor of anyone you recommend!

Sorry guys, my mind went blank, mouth agape and a Microsoft spokesperson channeled themselves through me.

Possession or outright insanity would be the only cause ;)

How is it way better?

What what kind of choice will we have? Anything at all? Just a small selection of year old games like Knack or Killzone? If it's the former, that's great. If it's the latter, meh.
There are tons of games outside Sony AAA titles to chose from. Most of them have perfomance advantage over Xbox One too. People forget Sony has the most next gen games (released so far and more than its closest competitor) on its platform so there are a variety of titles to chose from.

'Murica, fuck yeah! We're coming again to save the motherfucking day, yeah!
Lol I love that song. It's so funny.

NPDs will seem kinda irrelevant during the PS Experience, when Sony announces how many PS4s have sold worldwide. After November, I'm gonna say 15 million.

I think the Sony deal is better. Two really strong games with the system.
