I don't understand the surprise/concern about there being any actual price cut on the PS4. It's not hard for people to spot that one bundle has the two most acclaimed games of 2013/14 as pack-ins. Remasters or not that previous fact cannot be denied. Sony has the marketing wrapped up hard for GTA, too, such that plenty of people assume it's exclusive to PS4. That sort of promotion/narrative works -really- well on parents. It's a bit depressing to admit but the average parent is probably willing to put down an extra $70 so their kid can play more GTA without hassle if that's what they asked for.
The XB1 AC bundle is an incredibly good deal, however. Like, wow. That's lower/more than I would ever thought to see 1 year in even in the most extreme of circumstances. Microsoft is playing to the wallet shoppers while Sony is appealing to the heart. Yeah, there's some overlap of consumers in there, but they should both sell like crazy.
I'm hoping something pops up "in the middle", too. This is either the M-rated extreme bundle of the E-rated obviously-aimed-at-kids edition. From what we've seen in other adverts some retailers are offering a bonus free game (or two?) on top of these. Check out the Wal-Mart flyer. You could go with the GTAV (I doubt your brother would complain) and yank LBP3 on top. That's what I'm hoping to find.
