Saving it to usb will degrade the quality of the video somewhat. Also now that Elgato has updated their software to 1080p with PS4, there's no way i'm doing that. ;)

Oh man, that song will always remember me of the OverStrike debut video :(

Anyway, here's my first video. I though the song will be fitting of an Infamous video:

I lost some footage before start making the video, and i still have to learn about the transitions (they behave weird, sometimes, they cut short a video or they desynchronize all the vide D:). Still had some fun doing it and i can't wait to try it more :P

its not that bad. After putting the effort into making a theme or video , copying it to the usb and then uploading to youtube via pc is not that big a thing. Would be nice to be able to do it from the ps4 though.

Couldnt you do that through a smartphone or a Tablet as well?

Wow well done.

As I mentioned before I'm so clueless at this stuff. My knowledge of computers doesn't go much beyond clicking on websites. I can't imagine I'm just going to be able to take a usb stick and move an iTunes song from my computer to my PS4.

It's pretty easy to pull off.

Just set up a folder in the usb stick called SHAREFACTORY, then inside that place another folder called, MUSIC, and just dump whatever MP3's you want inside there.
 
Does anyone if it's possible to adjust the levels of the game audio when recording commentary?

As weird as it sounds, I find it quite hard talking over complete silence. It's even weirder when you're used to having some form of talkback.

Also, come to think of it, is there any way to go full screen with the game video while recording commentary?

Press square, there's an option to edit clip volume. You have to do each clip individually though.
 
I've found two annoying issues with Sharefactory that have hindered my progress somewhat.

1. Split clip doesn't always split the clip from the beginning. It will always split the second portion I want it to (the end of the clip), but not always the start of the split clip.

2. When I move a clip around, it resets all the trimming I've done on all the other clips. This is especially annoying when I've fine-tuned the timing to go with my music.

I'm not sure if this is a problem exclusive to me or Infamous clips in general, but it's pretty annoying.

I also struggle a lot with that yesterday. I ended finding easier to add a clip one at time instead of adding them all and then editing.
 
Do you guys have any idea how I can unlink my YT channel from my Google+ login? I really don't want my SF uploads to have my first and last name on it. Or does that only show up to me and my Google+ people?

I have no idea, but if you're on Youtube click on your name at the top right and choose switch account, you should be able to switch to the YT one and upload from that one instead of the G+ one.

Press "X" (while insede your project) and there's an option to add Music to the video, then you should be able to export it from your USB

Edit. Make sure your music is on x: SHAREfactory/Music
 
I am under the impression that you are required to use a theme? Can't just edit clips together without the playstation or infamous intros?

Yes. You have select a theme to start a project, but when choosing the clips for the video, you can actually deselect all the intros if you want.
 
Is there a way to adjust the volume of the music during certain clips, or do you only get to control the master volume of a song as it plays throughout the video?

I know you can adjust individual clip volume, but I can't seem to find a way to do that with music.
 
Uh Im sure this is posted somewhere in the depths of this topic but how do you upload? Even to facebook?

I go to "Render Video"

but it tells me that my video cant have any placeholder clips....WTF is that? I dont see any placeholder clips.

If you've got music in your clip, make sure that the length of the music clip syncs up with the length of your video clip. you can't have your music clip's length exceed the length of your video.

There will be two bars there when editing your video and music, make sure that the music clip ends before the vide clip does.
