PS4 Sharefactory Thread.

After working with SHAREfactory since launch, here are some tips I'd like to share...factory.

1. Save often! When editing your video, especially when you are about to split or trim a clip, save first.
2. When adding custom music, add the video clips first, in order. Then add the music after and split or trim the clips to fit the music.
3. Transitions take time, and most of that time will come from the clip prior to the transition, so add an extra second of footage and trim to fit.
4. Remember to check if you can turn off the HUD in the game you are recording. ;p
5. Saving and uploading to a USB drive with give you way better image quality vs. uploading to Facebook.

In my opinion they hit the perfect balance between usability and promotion.
Remember, you don't have to have any of those PS4 banners (intro or outro) in your videos. People include them by choice.
After messing with it all week, I like it. ;)

Hey guys,
i have a question. I recorded some videos how i ernead trophies in Infamous Second Son but the trophy notifications werent in the videos. This was the first time i tried the share-button. Does the PS4 not record notifications or is it just in Infamous because of spoiler?
 
I really wish there was a ShareFACTORY hub or some sort on the PS4 where we could watch all the user-made videos as well as rate them. Having to search around YouTube or otherwise makes it hard to discover new and/or interesting vids.

That would be great, and there could be community highlights of the best vids each week too.
 
I'm so mad at myself...I got a pretty nice double jihad ATV on a Tank and LAV an when I held the share button i forgot to press square to save the video since I forgot the 1.70 update made it that way..Now I can't get a higher quality video and make it cooler with SHAREfactory. :/

Its fun, particularly now that its online has improved so much. I forgot to note that was all on hardcore, its the only way I play.

I am going to have some fun with this....

Here is another BF4 with some MGS 5 GZ sprinkled on top. Stay to the end, I am quite please with it!

Yeah man, I like going for those serene, yet epic moments, and that tune seemed to fit perfectly. Sorry for the late response, I actually typed this comment days ago and forgot to hit "Submit". >.<

Guys I am having a hard time to understand how to share to facebook an already rendered movie.Its in the gallery and the only option is "upload" but nothing happens when I hit it.Yes I have been sharing to fb before.

Hitting the share button, then choosing the video you want to upload usually does the trick. As long as your facebook account is registered on your PS4 there shouldn't be any problem.
 
Threw together a quick Trials Fusion montage with SHAREfactory. Took me awhile to think of a suitable tune. ;)

I'm starting to understand that the shorter the clips, the better. I probably should've shortened some of these up a bit more, but nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Side note: The very first clip in the video is from the demo, and as soon as I landed that series of flips, I ran out and bought the game. Lovin' it!
 
Here was my 2nd attempt with SHAREfactory. It was a fun video to make but it is tough to synch up a long song with a ton of clips.

I am actually in the process of re-doing this video which is coming together nicely. But this one is fun anyway. Headphones recommended!

I'm hoping for a music fade ability. I don't like clipping music and having that little blip of empty space between the clips. Would like to be able to mold the clips together or something.

There is also an issue where if you trim clips and then change something later on in the movie it will erase what you changed in earlier sections of the movie. That made working my Top Gun movie pretty tough. Probably had to go through it 50x to try and rework everything to synch with the music. Still not perfect!
