But was it the fastest selling console of last year?
So aligned launches. How is it comparing to PS2?
Once the ps4 gets some first party games im on board also.
Great start for both consoles
To be fair, the XB1 isn't out in Japan yet, either.
Obligatory:
Youre not serious. Right? Take a break from gaming if you are.

As in 4.2 million units FROM the date of December 28th 2013 ?!

Well, he was talking about hardware specs, not sales. So PS4 is 40% ahead. But Penello said they wouldn't give up a 30% advantage?
With 7 million plus next gen consoles on the market lets hope 2014 is the end of cross gen games.

Really is an amazing number, well done Sony. God Damn that's toppled WiiU?
So, between PS4 and Xbox One (and their ~8m combined unit sales in 2 months), next gen is officially saved. Can we finally place the blame for Wii U's failure squarely on Nintendo where it belongs, instead of the nebulous 'softer market demand for game consoles'? Obviously there are still gamers out there and they still want new consoles - just not Nintendo's.
Maybe they wanted to make sure they beat expectations. Clearly the new humble Sony underestimated the PS4.So, why did Sony only expect to sell 5m by March? Underestimated demand? Didn't think they could meet the demand?

to be fair, XB1 is irrelevant in Japan.
When is Albert going to apologize to us?

Nope. This is still only 2.6%, roughly, of the previous gen's install base.
You're still better off releasing cross-gen for quite some time.

well 30% isn't 40% is it
shipped? j/k
or you know common sense, Microsoft still has over 30 markets still to launch in which would probably equate to 300k-400k.
Can someone answer this? How does this compare to PS2??
