Reading about all those little improvements makes the update feel much better now, even if there are not many "big" features in it.

If you got a PS Camera, try to use that for logging and see if that's faster as well!

Is there an option to allow real names to be shared automatically? They should allow that if they don't - or at least the profile pic
PS4 has USB3 ports so there is no reason why it shouldn't.
Looking forward to seeing how good the quality is on videos exported to USB.

You don't have to put that Intro and outro if you don't want to. They call them themes and apparently each game can have its own, there's one for Infamous Second Son already on there, but this is the basic PS4 one.

I tested my external USB 3.0 SSD and it works but I'm not seeing USB 3.0 speeds.
Then again I think the bottleneck is the stock internal hard disk.
I'll do some benchmarks anyway. I'll report back in a few.

I'm hoping to see a lot of cool stuff coming out of it. I see a lot of potential for some awesome short films. I imagine watch dogs and Infamous SS could provide good source material for this.

It's ridiculous how the share factory app isn't listed in apps,instead you have to do a manual search for it....
This has been the case since the the update before 1.70
I was surprised to see this screen instead of the original one with the pictures a few days ago.

Took my 10mins to transfer 461MB to USB flash drive2.0. It wasn't even doing 1MB/s.
Read the thread. You might not be looking at the HD streams. 1.70 doesn't instantly turn all streams HD.

I reckon it's newly added, we can always find content via search before we can find it in the categories.

Not there in the apps section on the PS4 for me. Can't find the all apps button.
That's because the streamer has bad connection, not because this 720p update is bad. Find another stream.

He's probably just gone to Twitch and hit any stream thinking every single person on the planet that uses the PS4 for streaming has updated it and is now streaming in 720p
...I certainly hope that's not the case.
Streamers also have to choose the highest quality. The default is "good", which is the old maximum.
W00t?! Finally! It was so annoying having to log off and log on every time I wanted to switch user.
Based Sony, this update keeps getting better and better.
Someone above said their PS4 had a bunch of 600mb 10 minute files. So at that rate about 1MB a second so 4000 seconds or over an hour.

Is it still not possible to quickly "trim" a captured video without initiating the upload process? For example, I have 10 Infamous: Second Son clips that I've captured. I want to quickly edit out parts of these videos. Previously, the only way to do this was to press the "share" button when watching the video, then trim it, then cancel out of uploading to Facebook. It would be nice to be able to trim videos quickly without having to initiate an upload.

It's there for me - just tried it.
Something changed with music/video unlimited as they moved all the way to the left (which signifies an update). Dunno as I don't really use them.
Edit: Oh, "Music Unlimited SHARE Options: With a Music Unlimited subscription, you can easily share your favorite songs with your friends by pressing the SHARE button on your DUALSHOCK 4."

Scroll to the very right in the Apps section. There is the section for All Apps. First one on this list is the factory.
It is there because that is where I went to download mine
