Only thing I've learned from this thread is that OP has some bunk ass furniture.
Looks good against the Simon Cowell scale...

I dont know if people are being weirdly defensive or genuinely need to set their white balance up properly.
People acting like OP is making personal attacks.![]()
So after seeing a few people post concerns with "burn" spot on there PS5 shells i started to take a close look at mine. I did notice a small area of discoloration arounf the center of the left panel in almost the same spot as othere have complained about. Now mine was very minor and was in a perfect circle as you can make out in the pictures. It has a pure white color to it in that circle and the rest of the panel is greyish. I poped of the panel to see if it was heat related and what i found was quite interesting. There is a circle shaped grove on the inside of the panel in the exact spot of the outside discoloration. The plastic is way thinner here and it is also the focal point of the entire warped shape to the shell. There were no indication of overheating on the inside and every time i felt the system in that spot during play it was warm at worst. My conclusion is that the contort of the shell with minor heat coupled with the thin plastic in that area is whats causing the color change (like when you bend plastic). Annoying but nothing to be concerned about and a shell swap or paint job will easily fix the issue.
Don't be an ass. These devices cost a fair amount of money. It's fair to be upset about these design flaws, I would be too. I'm not too OCD, but if my PS5 suddenly developed a dark or white spot I'd be calling Sony right away. Here's a solution. Don't turn it on, go outside and interact with 3 dimensional people. This topic is fucking comical, seriously, get a grip.
Thanks to all of you for beta testing this system for me.
I'm just bitter I can't find one

You STFU, why dont you actually read the fucking OP troll
They makin' a minor cosmetic issue a big deal. You STFU, why dont you actually read the fucking OP troll
Priorities lolDang OP you went through all the trouble of moving your PS5 (which is behind your TV completely out of view), taking the cover off and taking a bunch of pics but you can't even be bothered to screw the hinge that holds door back to your TV stand?
I literally said in the OP that it was minor and not a big deal. Like wtf read why dont you. Im trying to show that it isnt a big deal by showing the inside of the panel as to show no heat issues. But your nose is so far up your own ass you thought i was spreading FUD.They makin' a minor cosmetic issue a big deal.
Shit's embarrassing.
I'm sorry, OKAY!?I literally said in the OP that it was minor and not a big deal. Like wtf read why dont you. Im trying to show that it isnt a big deal by showing the inside of the panel as to show no heat issues. But your nose is so far up your own ass you thought i was spreading FUD.

You ain't had to do me like dat![]()
That's a point actually, I wonder if it's always been there and folk are actively looking for it now? Maybe it's just thinner there and the black shows through from the inner casing.Got same spot on mine on both plates. I think it's just a mark from the tooling they use to form the plastic. Not a big deal.
This exact thing crossed my mind. I wonder if it was there the whole time. When i looked at if from the inside it shows no signs of wear or damage. That's a point actually, I wonder if it's always been there and folk are actively looking for it now? That's a shit stain, he must have been playing Godfall.
