PS5 shell discoloration

Is there a bit on the back of the white panel where it attaches to the black part of ps5, could be just a strain mark where it attaches tighter there

IMO that's not normal. If there is noise then there is movment. If there is movement then there is wear on joints. That could rattle as fuck in few years (depending on number of cycles).
It's not a rattle sound though. It's like a sound as if the plastic is being tightened or loosened

Yea I'm not seeing it...

If you can't see it with those glasses on, then I don't know what the fuck do do with you.

Yeah, I can't see it either

A fair amount of money is relative to the individual.

Are you one of those people since you're posting in this very thread?

Seems like you have some ego issues.

That's one way to come up with a bizarre conclusion.

The only issue i had with mine was woke up one morning and their were black smudges all over the casing. Wiped off. I think it was a candle that was lit in the same room. Hasn't happened again and wide has not relit the candle since.

For now. Parts are expanding and shrinking in different rate. That means that there is wear beetwen two parts which with time will make them looser and could end with rattling from vibrations.

I don't get why people are nitpicking/looking for problems, not just the op. I wonder what would make a person say one day, "oh, let's look at the faceplate to see if there's discoloration. "

Enjoy the PS5 man - there's many that can't even get their hands on one.

Yeah that happens with most consoles for sure, both my PS4 and PS4 Slim did it, still working fine to this day.

I think the new tech phase and with launch defect FUD stories rife it just makes people fear every minute noise from their console

Never heard that in any of mine consoles. Maybe that's because I usually buy late revisions.

So on the jim sterling latest video, you can see discolouring on his ps5 when he films it
