PSN Sale: PS+ Specials & Critic's Choice

Very dissapointed in the lack of a Vita birthday sale. Combined with the fact that my 20% off code didn't work with the online store meaning I could only use it for ps4 stuff was a double blow of suck.

You guys should buy Apotheon. That game is dope as hell. It crashes intermittently but it's good.

Any suggestions on games to grab to hit $100 for the $15 credit?

I'm going to get fallout and battlefront because I have them physical and will sell them back. But I still need another $30 or so.

The Banner Saga
SOMA
Amplitude
Hitman GO
Fallout 4: Season Pass
Ninja Senki DX

That is a damn fine haul. Plus it means $15 later on in the month!

I bought Tales from the Borderlands, was going to get it on the last Steam sale but would rather this type of game on PS4 I think.

Dang what a sale!

I just picked up Divinity on sale, but I caved and got Life is Strange and The Witcher. I was tempted to pick up Until Dawn as well, but I already have too many games.

Wtf? Another BF Hardline sale and still no Hardline Premium sale for NA when it was 40% off on EU PSN a few weeks back during the EA sale.

The DLC servers are empty EA. Give people that payed for it people to play it with.

Getting:
Life is Strange
Tales of the Borderlands
Axiom Verge
Rocket League

Does the paypal thing work with existing accounts? Has anyone played Among the Sleep? Also, while I wanted to get all these games for a while, I know I probably won't touch them for another month or too due to my silly addiction to Witcher 3.

It sucks that Arkham Knight and Fallout 4 got such bad reception from people here because Ive been dying to play them. Even some of my friends didnt like them too much. I guess I'll wait til they go even lower.

I was extremely wary of Arkham Knight for the same reasons, but ended up giving it a shot the last time it was on sale. I really enjoyed it. The game needs a lot less Batmobile - a lot less - and certain powers are a bit too OP (coughFearTakedownscough) but found it a damned good Batman game despite those flaws. Stuck with it long enough to collect all the Riddler trophies, even, which is something I didn't bother with in City.

I have so much catching up to do from last year...
So I have 25 dollars in my wallet and I´m thinking Until Dawn, but I could also get SOMA plus Tales of The Borderlands. Both options seem very tempting.

Decisions, decisions...
What should I do?

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread but if I buy Tales From the Borderlands Season Pass that's the game plus the season pass right?

GAF, I initially was going to avoid Bloodborne... I didn't like Demon Souls and skipped the other Souls games. I recently picked up The Witcher 3 and love it... after seeing a lot of people compare the two games (usually saying how much better Bloodborne combat is), I'm thinking I should give it a shot. What do you think?

Well, I still got that 20% coupon lying around. Wanted to use it on fallout season pass. I'm thinking Tales, Batman, and something else. Hmm.

Yes. Episode 1 is free which essentially unlocks the full game when you buy the season pass.

Trying to buy Until Dawn but I'm experiencing checkout issues with my PayPal/credit card, getting cart error massages & failed transactions. Goddamnit.
Yep. I'm currently chatting with support about it, and they're claiming my account is "locked" and nothing can be done about it for 24-48 hours. Smells like fresh bullshit to me.

BLOODBORNE is one of the best reasons to own a PS4.

(Somehow, my phone autocorrected the title to come out in caps.)

Even though people compare them, they're two completely different beasts. I think you'll enjoy Bloodborne much more than Demon's Souls. In Bloodborne, the combat is very responsive, but you have to make sure you press buttons at the right time--no spamming. You have to get used to dying a lot as part of the game's progression. You should be good if you can do that! Cheers!

Thanks, I'm going to buy it!

how long does MGS V intro period last?

i just got done with the extremely cinematic prologue mission and i'm ready for a nice list of missions

Reposting since I got BOTP'd:

Guys, sell me on SOMA. I am aware that it has a Sci-Fi theme, but that's about it.

I paid full price for it and it's the only game I've ever played that made me feel genuinely unsettled to make a decision.

After finishing the game I immediately thought that the game needs to be translated into a movie so everyone can experience the story in some way.

It is very well written and quite pretty. Not scary in thw least but atmospheric as all hell and tense.

Thank you for the relies! Looks like I will pick this up.

Have $30 on my psn and I´m interested in these games.

Hitman GO: Definitive Edition (cross-buy) – $6.39
The Banner Saga – $13.99
Volume (cross-buy) – $9.99
Axiom Verge – $13.99, $11.99
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – $11.99, $9.99
SOMA – $19.49, $16.49

After the intro the game is essentially all missions - it's very open-worldly. Few cutscenes. Missions can be very short or very long depending on how you 'attack' them. GAF didn't seem to love it, but it's a wonderful game.

For my part, got SOMA and borderlands. Never enjoyed any of borderlands I played, but I am willing to give it a try given GAF's positive impression. Hard to believe it could top Until Dawn in the 'cinematic adventure' genre for me.

i loved Until Dawn and i thought Borderlands was every bit as good - though tonally opposite. UD was a tense ride, Borderlands is a joyous one.

I was considering Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and decided to wait for it to go lower or hit PS+.

After speaking with PayPal & RBC and nothing's wrong on their end, so it's clearly another Sony fuckup. I called them and they say there's no lock on my account, but it could be due to the PSN store update today (they claim it can cause PS store instability) which doesn't make much sense since I had the same issues 2-3 days ago as well (and a few months prior).

Then the guy gave the usual lecture about using PSN cards (which is not an option for me). Utter bullshit.

Good point. Same will probably happen to Volume at some point.

Still need to cut 2 games I guess.
