The laptop I currently use was in my wife's car when she was in a wreck. Busted the screen and the cd drive, but everything else worked. Insurance got her a new laptop.HarryDemeanor said:
I paid $120 for a new screen on eBay and installed myself. This was in 2007, but it still works - though it's slowly dropping pixels in random spots.
Anyways, it's not too expensive. And probably even cheaper now. Better option than buying a new laptop.
