It's not your thing. Not everybody loved Tetris either.

Awesome news! The new mechanics seem to make it fresh again. This will be in my Top 5 GOTY again. Pushmo was the best puzzle game I played in years.

The original was good, but not as great as people make it out to be imo.

Lies. It's better.

And it's going to be buried inside Nintendo's godawful 3DS shop, the company will not promote it, and nobody is going to play it.

It's so fucking easy to predict Nintendo nowadays.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have an up-to-date 3DS and someone who doesn't know that Pullblox/Pushmo is one of its bigger successes.

Seriously, one of the worst posts I've read this week.

So glad Nintendo is continuing this franchise, it was a huge surprise for me. Some of those puzzles made you grit your teeth though.

I really hope it's also 6€ like the first one. It was a surprisingly good price for a downloadable Nintendo game with so much content.

I'm in the same boat--the first game had way too much filler. I hope this one isn't afraid to throw more at us right from the get-go.

I guess that I found the experience original enough to enjoy the mere act of puzzling, so I don't consider that filler. I mean, Nintendo-published puzzle games have never been based on non-repeating difficulty progression, whether we're talking about Mole Mania/Moguranya, Panel Pon, or Picross.

I saw a TV ad with Pullblox in it. It's constantly on the eShop's front page. It's constantly in the eShop charts and evidently has done well enough for a sequel.

But, you know, whatever.

Now Exty, just because a game is topping the charts and is getting a sequel, doesn't mean it hasn't done poorly.

I repeat: it's first in the eShop overall European charts, which starts from the opening of the store itself. So, the best selling eShop game so far. And this is probably why it's been announced in the European Direct, now that I think about it :P

Impressions from NWR.

Summary by Nintendo Everything:

- Mallo and Papa Blox are back
- Poppy, Papa’s grand-niece, is in the game as well
- Mallo introduces himself to her with a characteristic sumo shiko stomp, startling the birds who had carried Poppy in on a hot air balloon-like basket and causing them to seek refuge on the top of Crashmo structures
- Need to collect the birds so Poppy can go home
- Game is structured like Pushmo
- There are levels comprised of big, colorful blocks
- Can push and pull blocks
- Mallo needs to just to the top of each level to collect the bird
- Blocks are no longer expanded from or tied to a support structure
- Blocks that don’t have anything under them will fall
- Blocks can’t tilt
- A single cubic support piece is enough to keep them suspended
- New to Crashmo: Mallo can grab and move blocks forward and backward as well as side to side
- He can also pull out blocks onto the surface he’s standing on
- Additionally, Mallo can balance the Tetris-esque blocks on his head
- Movement is limited in these instances
- Without a solid support wall, players must find ways of keeping blocks suspended by moving other blocks into place
- Can view puzzles from multiple angles
- Level editor included
- Can use QR codes to share levels
- Later levels will feature doors and other mechanics

We need an Iwata asks for this! I need to know who is the genius behind this concept!

I mean how is it even possible to come up with two different games, with two different set of rules behind an apparent similarity?

What I would like to know is why there was a need for different names between Europe & US? Does anyone have an explanation for that? Why not use Crashmo in Europe or Pullblox in the US?
