According to their website, John Carmack is going to make some "big announcements" at his keynote address. I'll accept nothing less than Wolfenstein running on idTech 5, or else I may have start something.

We're headed to QuakeCon 2007 next week. If you're one of the 7,000+ lucky attendees, be sure to stop by booth 221 to say hi and play a few rounds of Left 4 Dead. Rumor: id Getting Steamy?

BLOG - We're hearing buzz that id is going to announce a deal with Valve at Quakecon this week...

No, it's not your dream FPS where Gordon Freeman battles Strogg, but it sounds likely that id will be bringing its games to Valve's Steam digital distribution platform. Not terribly exciting stuff... but I think it's kind of cool.

Yeah, you can get Q4 Special Edition for $20, and it comes with Q2 and all the expansions.
