Woah! I love Quest bars... just looked that stuff up, is it really that easy?
It is supposedly super easy to make them, yeah. I will find out.

I never knew to check if we had a Quest bar thread.
I am going to be making my own Quest bars - only better!
I have already ordered the VitaFiber that is the secret ingredient in these bars.
I will be using only the finest Organic Whey Protein Powder from grass-fed cows.
For flavors, the first try will be a chocolate-peanut butter combo.
I am going to call them Dennis Bars.
The cookie dough quest bar is so good. I just wish it was a bit cheaper!
I pay a $1.76 for mine.
Okay, calling straight BS on this. They're not too expensive; you're just not willing to prioritize them over other dietary decisions. That's all. Not saying them being cheaper wouldn't be nice, but considering what they provide, I think their pricing is reasonable. Especially if you're within reach of a GNC or any other place that sells them at a discounted rate (of which there are many. I never pay full price for them).
Thank you!!! Been waiting on a method to buy oligosaccharides instead of melting candies or other things that have them in it. Definitely will be trying this out soon!
I bought the VitaFiber syrup rather than the powder because that seems like it will be easier getting the right consistency for the bars.
I tried the cookie and cream and think its just ok. maybe apple pie wil taste better
I really like a protein bar now and again, there are easy, can be taken on the go, etc. etc.
The issue is, I can get quest bars for $2+ /bar, or I can get a clif bar for .70$ per bar. And while I would certainly prefer a quest bar, I find it hard to justify the extra cost compared to the alternative. I don't want to turn this into a quest bar vs. "some other bar" thread. Still, that is the money management side of my head kicking in. So no, it is not BS.
TBH I never even considered that there were other protein bars after coming across Quest bars :3. I've always viewed every other protein bar as junk food, Cliffs included. The Quest Bars are ideal for many because the calorie/protein ratio is so good. But to each their own. I'll admit to being more picky with my nutrition than most.
Very cool! Post some pictures and/or recipes! And good on you for noting the superiority of Biscoff spread. The VitaFiber arrived so I have been experimenting with making my owns bars.
It is super-easy. VitaFiber is some magic ingredient shit.
So far I made two flavors:
Hazelnut-chocolate flavor (I use Justines, not Nutella)
Crunchy Speculoos flavor (the real stuff, not Trader Joe's)
They are amaaaaaaaaaaazing
It is all about getting the ratio of VitFiber to Whey powder right.
Consistently? Where?
aw yiss

Peanut butter and jelly so far has been my favorite.
Well, what else is there with similar protein and sugar content?I like em, but I stopped buying a year or so ago.
I cannot rationalize paying $2 for a protein bar.
Apple pie is damn gross. Cookies and cream is my favorite, but I haven't tried smores or cookie dough yet.
I purchased the Sour Cream & Onion flavor and didn't like it.Has anyone else tried the Quest "Potato" chips? I honestly thought they were pretty good considering the nutritional values. They're similar in taste to Baked Lays but with 21 g of protein in a bag.
Anyone know where they sell these in canda?

They're worth every pennyJust looked these up on Amazon and had to laugh. $25 for a dozen 180 calorie snacks? Over $2 per bar?
And then there's a bunch of recent reviews saying they changed the recipe and it's terrible now. Several of the flavors are even under review.

Now that I make my own I never buy Quest bars anymore.
The home-made ones taste a million times better.
