However, and I don't see why all developers don't see this, the MORE controller options the better. Always and forever. No developer will ever be penalized or exclude audiences for having TOO many customizable control options.

That'd amuse me immensely. And I think that's a genuine possibility with this on Wii U, particularly if it supports Wiimote pointing but doesn't supply one in the box.
