It does feel exactly like promoted. It's intense, varied and rewarding. Actually the final fight is better than the one in R&CF. It's also much better balanced between platforming and fighting. And platforming actually requires some skill this time. The new wrench functionalities are very nicely implemented in a variety of ways. Not only you can activate stuff with it, like turning platforms "on" but u can actually move some floating ones freely arranging them in order to create a path forward. And you can move Ratchet while the wrench is "connected" to whatever it is connected to so this allows for some challenging bits where u have to move Ratchet with the left stick while operating "remotely" with the wrench via the right stick.
Technically, lighting is a big deal better than the previous R&C (and game makes use of this gameplay-wise) and textures are awesome all over the place. No ups and downs if u get what I mean. There is still the annoying fluctuation with the frame rate tho and at times it can get quite bad (to MY standards) especially when there are smoke/fog effects around. I do start wondering if it would be better to just lock it at 30fps and add motion blur. Anyway, this is not something that affects the gameplay experience at all. No tearing btw.
Overall: Best PSN game to date of course and best chunk of R&C awesomeness ever put together.Wish there where Trophies :/
And this is all I can say I guess (dont even bother asking me about the ending or the "surprise" Stevenson mentioned). I cant release media since this is only for print. I'm not even sure I can post comments here. But I got too many "You bastard!!11" messages while playing so I feel like I have to share part of it.
