It was pretty solid with no TV or casual talk. $500 is no surprise especially considering the current gen. These "1/10" people are the worst kind of people.

3/5 much better than expected, they brought games and several real exclusives. Still too much time spent on cg trailers and multiplatform 'exclusives'. And that price is a big NOPE for me.

3/5 probably if I had to say. Not a lot of the games interested me personally (mainly MGS5 and Dark Souls II), but it was far better than their usual conferences. Huge focus on games.

5/10

It had games, it showed some new things but honestly it was not at all exciting. I think the price is a bit of a sticker shocker and I feel bad for the Eurozone.

Nothing really stood out though so I give it as average a score as possible.

If those games were exlusive it would be a 7/10 due to the price maybe even 8.

But BF4, MGS5, Dark souls, etc. were all multiplat and will be shown again tonight at the sony conference.

Ryse looked amazing visually, but the gameplay looked terrible.

499.99 is way too much for me for any console this time around considering my pc can play most of these games fine.

3/10

2/5 It had games to show, but I didn't find the exclusives that exciting other than Forza.

I feel like the Halo trailer was played out. The price is too much as well.

2/5

There were a few games (remedy and insomniac mostly) that i think i would have played were they multi, but nothing too painful. Won't get the xbone, at least not early and probably not ever.

Price was bad but i'm not that price sensitive when it comes to the console.

I hope sony will crush this, or this E3 will be really disappointing.

And im still waiting for them to kill Sony because that conference in no way killed Sony especially since the games im most hyped for are multiplats (heres looking at you Witcher 3 and Mgs)

Price point probably killed themselves!!!!

Rated a 3 because Titanfall looked amazing and Dead Rising 3 looked pretty cool. Also liked Witcher 3 (even though I'll get it for PS4). $499 and no discussion of DRM is why it's not higher. I really liked Titan Fall though, will have to upgrade my PC for it.

Only MGSV and Titanfall caught my attention. Conference was decent, only games, games and games.

Lol at Ryse's QTE fest.

3/5

3/5.

It was good, but could've been better. Exclusives were hit and miss, but none of 'em felt like a necessary purchase.

It was pretty solid with no TV or casual talk. $500 is no surprise especially considering the current gen. These "1/10" people are the worst kind of people.
I understand where these people are coming from, though. They didn't mention a thing about DRM.

I thought it was going great until they announced the price. Just ridiculous.

4/5. It was objectively solid and well handled : no talk, just skipping from one game to another, "live" demos were not too long...
There were not enough games I really liked, though, but it wasn't too bad. Insomniac's game and Titan Fall were great, Killer Instinct and Spray were cool, nice tech demos with MGS and BF4. Yeah, definitely solid.

3/5
+ At least they talked about games and not TV, well just a little reminder here and there
+ Lot of games
+ No focus on kinect (but still some reminder)
+ Interresting new IP like Spark (and freaking Crimson Dragon)
+ Smooth and rapid transitions to avoid getting ppl bored

+- Tried to make a place for indies... yeah, tried.

- 10 Sec teasers
- Very few intersting exclusives, most good games will be available on PC/PS4
- didn't bother clarifying anything about used games, DRM and stuff (expected)
- Call of Rome, Call of 'Merica, Call of Mecha, so much random Call of FPS like...
- fake & scripted gameplay footage (stop taking us for some dumb-fuck please thanks)
- Price (Combo Bonus with the usual conversion-shit-o-meter to screw with EU like usual)
- Fucked up sound for Crimson Dragon, np that's fine
- Fucked up sound for BattleBro4, OMG REBOOT REBOOT §§§!!!§§111!!
- 60 FPS is now a possible feature (laughed so hard)

2/5

Absurdly high console price announced at the end sapped away any good will I had from watching the event. Too many uninspired shooters shown, no Quantum Break gameplay and no awareness from Microsoft toward the more controversial aspects of their console.

A mile better than the festering pile of manure that was the Xbone reveal though.

I thought the presentation was entertaining (especially the part about gold subscribers getting free Xbox 360 games) and they had a really strong showing of Xbox One games. The twitch integration looked really nice too.

Top 3 games they showed that I'm most anticipating:

The next Halo
Project Spark
Dead Rising 3

8/10 from me.

There were a couple hiccups, but overall I'd rate it one of Microsoft's best E3s.

As a conference: 8/10
What I take out of it: 3/10
Titanfall and BF4 are the only games that interested me and those come to PC also so...

How many of the games announced are actually true exclusives though?

I personally thought the conference was pretty good.

I'm so tired of conferences that get bogged down in numbers and figures and charts and talks and speaches. It was good to see a conference that had game after game after game after game
Exactly.

MS delivered with the games. I would have given it a 4/5 instead of a 3/5 if the exclusives were interesting enough to me.

Those who think it was a terrible conference don't know what they want.

Time to buy me some Nintendo stock. I mean most of these games aren't even near ready come launch. 499 Euroes and nobody even seems to want it. It might do okay in the US, but in the rest of the world it will be happy to reach Wii U numbers. Which by then is swimming in interesting exclusives.

No interest in buying an Xbone after all the DRM on top of having to deal with XBL payments.

But to just rate the conference, Microsoft had some games, and all they did was show them. This hasn't happened in a very long time from any of the big 3.

$499 is definitely too much though. They'll at the very least be just as expensive as Sony's more powerful console.

4/5 for catering gamers.

As a conference, I gave it a 3/5. It was all about games, showed off new IPs, exclusive content, great (if multiplat) games.

As far as promoting the Xbone itself, the best games for my interests were multiplatform, the only exclusive I might have cared about turned out to be a QTE demo/game mix, they didn't even mention the immense elephant in the room and apparently fully proceed with their insane anti-consumer rights and spying stuff, while the price is too high for what it offers hardware-wise, both in general and in comparison to Sony.

Id give the conference a 4/5, they did show a wide variety of titles but my favorites were Crimson Dragon and Killer Instinct. Besides Ryse, they never dragged games on for too long. The announcements of free games for Gold Subscribers were great, and "The new Xbox 360 is available right now!" was a really cool announcement. It was all about the games and I think they did a phenomenal job and didn't waste time with sports games or Call of Duty. I didn't expect there to be any DRM talk as this kind of thing was planned out months ago.

Decent conference as far as conferences go. The games didn't excite me except the ones that aren't multiplat and Titanfall, which I guess I'll do without.

2.5/5.

I thought it was average. There was some good stuff on stage but the bad outweighed the good for me. $499 is too expensive for the hardware you're getting.

Also, watching the EA press conference now and PvZ: Garden Warfare looks realllly fun!

Every second spent on the 360 was a second too long.
$499 is $100 too much.
Sequels sequels sequels! Ugh.
A few interesting new IPs that will get no where near as much attention (during development, for marketing, and at release). Wish I could try them via redbox or gamefly.
The only game that I'd want to buy was KI. I eagerly await floor demos, but not to the tune of $499 + $60 + $Live Gold Tax.

What would have made me happier?
A lower price point, possibly via non-Kinect SKU, or dropping the Live Gold tax
Reversal of DRM bullshit
Some Japanese developer support beyond Kojima's latest foray into Snake's convoluted saga about war changing.

All in all I got what I expected. I can see how others would rate it highly if they love those IPs, but for me it was a solid 1/5. Would have been a 0 if it weren't for the brief glimpse of KI.

They said it would be all about the games. They had a conference that was all about the games.

I don't get the disappointment.

They have to be games we want.

"No TV", "Not much Kinect", and "16 games" just means I'm not deducting points for "Too much TV", "Too much Kinect", or "No games".
Additionally, I wouldn't count most of those games as a positive since all we really got was a teaser/video and quick blurb. Show me the playable demos or at least dive into why I should care about the game. What they end up showing on the floor over the next 3 days could be great, but for the conference I'm not giving out gold star stickers to those games.

Conference was actually pretty good. They came out swinging with games. Starting off with MGSV was awesome.

Still, No way in hell I'm ever buying the console

Don't even want to grade it, but two thing stuck out:

1. Holy crap at the FPS'. How do people even still get excited by this? What did they show, 5 or 6 out of the 10 total games I think? Freakin' absurd.

2. Shame on the foolish, childish audience members for booing and heckling the EA guy for the Battlefield audio problem. It was nothing of his doing, and people in the audience are acting like 14 year old monkeys.

THIS INDUSTRY NEEDS TO DIE.

I'd give it a 5/5. The reality is that in this cost environment, real exclusives are hard to one by which is why first party is important. But I loved the format. Games games games. No distractions.

Sony will not match that format. They never have and they won't. A few games will get more time. But this was how I want e3 to be. Lots of at the very least good content.

I'll precept this with the fact that there is zero chance of me buying XBOne with their current anti-consumer policies in place. We need to take it back to 1910 and channel the courage of the first worker union pioneers.

Overall I wasn't all that impressed by the actual exclusives. The two games that stuck out to me were Quantum Break and Project Spark, which btw looked amazing to me and I didn't really like LBP. Every other true XB1 exclusive either looked too early to comment or very uninspired.

I'm confused though. What was supposed to be the megaton exclusive that would make us forget about DRM and Spycams? Killer Instinct? I hope it wasn't because that game looked pretty bad.

Edit: Almost forgot. 499 is suicide.

Great: Quantum Break. Great premise, looks incredible.
Good: Diverse lineup, lots of games, great graphics, and an actual Rare game (wish it was something other than KI, though). *EDIT* Wait, KI isn't even being done at Rare? Nevermind, then.
Ugly: Ryse QTEs, Dead Rising (seemingly) loosing its silliness, $499

Overall: 3/5. It was a good presentation but nowhere near good enough to make me forget about the DRM.

15 exclusives?

Where? Can't live up to even Microsofts own minimum hype... Check...

$499? *dead silence*

Nerf Killer Instincts impact to the ground by giving it to Double Helix Games and making it look generic and remove over saturation....bright colors. Check.

/sigh

Know games to prove why Kinetic is so great and required.

*check*

No changes to DRM, Clarification on Used Games Sales, or Playable Panzer Dragoon Successor.

*sigh*

I also don't like FPS.

*This system did not have gamer's like me in mind*

8/10

Great conference

PROS

  • Amazing + diversed game lineup
  • Graphics seem more impressive then what has been shown on the PS4
  • over 4 core new exclusive I.P
  • Strong indie presence
  • money instead of MP
  • game broadcasting
  • free games for XBL gold

CONS

  • Price - £429 is very expensive for me was hoping more £349
  • I'am still no clearer on there DRM policy
  • I wish they could of assured us that things like yield problems and downclocking are a non-issue and the games will look the same as they showed

10/10

They completely surpassed expectations in regards to exclusives.

But that's simply based on conference. In terms of whether I'll actually buy one I don't know, DRM is a huge huge huge issue.

2/5

Boring, dull, nothing truly interesting. But I give them props for sticking to their word and showing nothing but games.

7/10

I liked that they just pumped out game after game after game, but the price is too steep for me (especially considering it's probably going to be ridicuously bloated in Australia).

Eh, I wasn't going to get it anyway, due to the DRM bullshit.

I'd give it a 5/5. The reality is that in this cost environment, real exclusives are hard to one by which is why first party is important. But I loved the format. Games games games. No distractions.

I agree that the format was great. I think the pre E3 reveal about TV TV TV TV TV TV allowed them to get away with this at E3, and I don't see why Sony can't do the same. But of course, they won't. I imagine they'll waste half the time on the PS4's OS and just when you think we're getting to PS4 games it'll be the Vita.

I was laughing at and ripping on Ryse for quite a while after Ryse was done being shown, I think it colored my impressions of the conference.

All that said, I feel MS has inflicted one casualty on me (since I won't be buying an Xbone) and that's taking away Dead Rising 3. Looks good. Rest I just don't care.
