Dear Ubisoft,
I was looking forward to Rayman Legends - a game which seemed to be a perfect fit to Nintendo's new console, the Wii U. I loved the demo and wanted to buy the game on its release day end of February. That situation changed today.
The game is no longer exclusive to Wii U? Not really surprising. A finished game is postponed by 7 months? Why? The business scenario is not compelling enough? The Wii U sold in its first two months than PS360 did back then. How about postponing all your PS720 games until the fan base is 10M+?
Guess what people will do in September! They will play GTA V and other AAA titles and / or they will save their money for upcoming games and systems. Rayman Legends will bomb and from today onwards I'm looking forward to it. Rayman is a great game and I will buy it - but not on day 1 anymore. I will buy it one month later for half the price and 2nd hand.
Ubisoft, go and fuck yourself.
Yours sincerely,
a Wii U owner
I think this is more Nintendo than Ubisoft. They never really liked Rayman. They don't heavily support games that compete with their first party offerings.

We also have Ubisoft's CEO commenting on Wii U support in general - link coming soon.
So guys, what do you think chances are of seeing Rayman in SSBU? Eh? ehh?
Rayman Legends is a Capcom-esque test game?Dear Wii-U owner,
Thanks to the petty gestures of you and your ilk, the Wii-U version underperformed and we do not see the platform as commercially viable for future projects.
Yours sincerely,
Ubisoft.
ha ha never gets old.Ubisoft just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about French culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in France, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the french public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Rayman Legends for any system, nor will they purchase any of Ubisoft's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Ubisoft has alienated an entire market with this move.
Ubisoft, publicly apologize and launch Rayman Legends in three weeks time for the Wii U, or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Do they really use family members of employees as playtesters? Is this a common practice?
Ubisoft, publicly apologize and launch Rayman Legends in three weeks time for the Wii U, or you can kiss your business goodbye.
And why would they compare a hardcore zombie game on a Nintendo system with a family-friendly 2D platform game?It didn't though, did it?
Afair it was in the Top 5 best selling games for Wii U since launch, or am I mistaken?
Also, why would Ubisoft consider a sequel if it sold like shit?
Well I did forget they were publishing the game in Japan, but I honestly don't see why people would care. As much as people on this board care about Rayman, the game is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things at all. I never saw the game selling more than 300-400k at most. Also Ubisoft doesn't owe Nintendo anthing so I don't see why they would make up for something.
Edit: It's somewhat disappointing that Ubisoft is delaying the game, but peopel not buying out of spite should be blaming Nintendo for creating a platform in this situation. 3rd party games are selling miserably and the platform is on a horrendous sales track. It sucks for the delay, but Ubisoft probably wanted to do a big marketing camapaign 2x

Its satire of the original post about FF XIIIHelp me out here, is this sincere, or is it satire?
Uh oh...
Thread is going to need a health warning soon. Bonus points to the people that won't be buying it out of spite now. Guess you didn't really want to play that game too much, huh?

Yes, but like most test games, after it does pretty well, the publisher in question sends out more tests.Nah, that was Zombi U.

I seem to remember an epic post / thread on GAF a while back with that wording.
Its satire of the original post about FF XIII
Hopefully it comes to PC as well. Glad more people get a chance to play this game at the end of the day.
Help me out here, is this sincere, or is it satire?
Idk but he says the Ubisoft CEO will be commenting on Wii U support soon. Im just mocking EA.So IGN doesn't know the definition of next gen? interesting
This;
This;
And this;
All give off conflicting information. Has it explicitly been said that the Wii U version has been delayed till September? The press report says all versions, the image just says Xbox and PS3, and the quote says both formats (Xbox and PS3).
I might be grasping at straws here, who can blame me, but I think we need clarification.
London, UK - February 7th, 2013 - Today, Ubisoft announced that its forthcoming title Rayman Legends, already announced for the Wii UTM system from Nintendo, will also be released on the Xbox 360(r) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation(r)3 computer entertainment system. All versions will now hit shelves in early September 2013.
I'm really sorry for this fix.Ubisoft just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Nintendo fanboys (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of their culture. It's not like they are Xbox fanboys who you can treat like an asshole. If you screw over a Nintendo fanboy, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

thanks for the laugh French "expert"
@RichIGN
I was thinking the same thing. I think it was "Japan" instead of French though. Hmmm...Squiddy, you got some esplaining to do
