Yo this game is really fun!
Is there any way to play this on a laptop with a DualShock 4 or Switch controller?

I got your back! This adaptor allows your PC to see a Switch Pro controller to read as xinput! Works perfect! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07413R4HS/?tag=neogaf0e-20 I used to use my Wii U Pro and finally replaced it with my Switch Pro!
Is Bluetooth with the controller just not reliable enough? I thought the controllers worked natively with PC because of this.
iirc the pro controller isn't an xinput device if you use Bluetooth. they added Steam support for it, though, so in Steam it shows up as a Steam controller.
I'm guessing the Bluetooth adapter doesn't come installed in the laptop right? For a DS4 as long as you have a Bluetooth adapter use the program called DS4Windows
That's what I thought but I wasn't too sure.Is Bluetooth with the controller just not reliable enough? I thought the controllers worked natively with PC because of this.

Okay. Thanks for linking the product though! I'm gonna check it out. What Snap said. This device will make your Switch controller an xinput. So it works through Origin, Battle.net, uPlay, Steam, Xbox Live games (I played Forza Horizon with it). From my experiences, bluetooth only WILL work on Steam but not on other services.

This was a pretty smart marketing trick i must say.![]()
Old 360 controller works fine as well. Wired at least. Is there any way to just connect the controller through USB and play that way after setting things up? I'm not in a position to spend money on a Switch adapter since I'm already trying to buy a Wi-Fi extender and stuff.

Don't really know what's new or different about the Definitive Edition but I really like what I've played so far. Went ahead and picked it up after playing an hour or so.
Still working for me. Is there a timer on it?
Not working anymore.(Recore)
Played for a bit. It's okay, but coming off Horizon, Witcher 3 (expansions), and Mass Effect Andromeda, it feels like more of the same follow-the-objective-marker around a mostly open world while engaging in mindless combat. I do see some Metroid Prime influences, but I can't find reason to go through any more of this, even for free.

Buy it for ~$15.99 or get GamePass for a month $9.99. It's worth the money either way.orichalcos said:Not working anymore.(Recore)
Yea, you played for a bit...the game expands to the point where you don't just follow the marker and have to go exploring. The exploring was so crucial before this version when you got to the Tower (though I had enough cores before getting to the tower so I didn't go through the headaches others did) as you needed to find cores in different places.
You don't need to find all cores anymore?
You never needed to find all of the cores to beat the game. You just needed a good amount to beat it. I think it's was like 45...but now you only need 30 cores (boooo)

45 isn't that much, I think I already have that many without having to grind anything ; hunting for cores hidden in the open areas is fun. I was worried I would have to beat a few time attacks in the dungeons to meet the requirements (I was never even close of beating the clock in those), but apparently not.
You can connect a DS4 with a cable. You need to use a program like DS4Windows though. Or set it up through Steam but I've never been able to get that to work. From what I know, you can't connect a normal USB cable to a DS4 or a Switch Pro controller. It has to be bluetooth or through a dongle.
on my theory on receiving the game free from ms for watching the mixer stream has some weight to it..when i go to buy to own, nothing happens..so i can't buy it.
It seems that they revoked it, it worked in the morning now later when I tried launching it on pc I get an error and says its not in my account
Don't worry, I use an i7 6700k and the game is installed on my SSD and the loading times are... not exactly long, but it feels like I installed it on my HDD instead of the SDD.Tried it today after installing the other day and it seems to work fine. No trace of timer and I definitely got achievements.
By the way, what the fuck are those insane loading times ? I mean I don't know in what measure it's my computer's way to diplomatically tell me that I have to change my 2500K or the dev being bonkers.
