Recore:DE and R6:Siege for free on Xbox One(error?)

Is Bluetooth with the controller just not reliable enough? I thought the controllers worked natively with PC because of this.

iirc the pro controller isn't an xinput device if you use Bluetooth. they added Steam support for it, though, so in Steam it shows up as a Steam controller.

Exactly what Snap said, this little device will make your Switch controller an xinput device. So it works through Origin, Battle.net, uPlay, Steam, Xbox Live games (I played Forza Horizon with it). From my experiences, bluetooth only WILL work on Steam but not on other services.

Is there any way to just connect the controller through USB and play that way after setting things up? I'm not in a position to spend money on a Switch adapter since I'm already trying to buy a Wi-Fi extender and stuff.
For a DS4 as long as you have a Bluetooth adapter use the program called DS4Windows
I'm guessing the Bluetooth adapter doesn't come installed in the laptop right?

That's what I thought but I wasn't too sure.

What if I use my DualShock 4?

Okay. Thanks for linking the product though! I'm gonna check it out.

Oh really.. hmm, I may need to check that dongle out!

Old 360 controller works fine as well. Wired at least.

Don't really know what's new or different about the Definitive Edition but I really like what I've played so far. Went ahead and picked it up after playing an hour or so.

Stopped playing after a hour. Jesus, those framerates and rough edges just hurt my eyes really bad...

Played for a bit. It's okay, but coming off Horizon, Witcher 3 (expansions), and Mass Effect Andromeda, it feels like more of the same follow-the-objective-marker around a mostly open world while engaging in mindless combat. I do see some Metroid Prime influences, but I can't find reason to go through any more of this, even for free.

You probably only scratched the surface, wait until you get the multi-colored gun expansions and especially the different bots (which open more exploration abilities, and add different specs depending on the parts you build for them).

Yea, you played for a bit...the game expands to the point where you don't just follow the marker and have to go exploring. The exploring was so crucial before this version when you got to the Tower (though I had enough cores before getting to the tower so I didn't go through the headaches others did) as you needed to find cores in different places.

Not working anymore. :( (Recore)
Buy it for ~$15.99 or get GamePass for a month $9.99. It's worth the money either way.

You don't need to find all cores anymore?

I bought the original but never played it, so it looks like I got the free upgrade? Successfully installed it.

However, the game itself and store page both just say "Recore". The only 'Definitive Edition' verbiage I see is only on the main page.

You never needed to find all of the cores to beat the game. You just needed a good amount to beat it. I think it's was like 45...but now you only need 30 cores (boooo)

45 isn't that much, I think I already have that many without having to grind anything ; hunting for cores hidden in the open areas is fun. I was worried I would have to beat a few time attacks in the dungeons to meet the requirements (I was never even close of beating the clock in those), but apparently not.

From what I know, you can't connect a normal USB cable to a DS4 or a Switch Pro controller. It has to be bluetooth or through a dongle.

Yea, it was mostly fun for me. Those time attack ones were brutal...I tried to 100% them but ain't make it. I'll still take my time and have fun with these new dungeons. Yea, the exploring for more cores (especially the random ones throughout the world) was fun.

I got the game when this thread popped up. Started downloading it on Windows 10, got to 20%, then paused it and started downloading XCOM 2's War of the Chosen expansion. That took a while, because it's pretty big (like 30 GB big) and I totally forgot about ReCore until about an hour ago. Restarted the download, finished it, booted up the game and...

... it's working perfectly fine. I can log in with my Xbox account and play just fine.

Weird error but, hey, pretty cool for us.

You can connect a DS4 with a cable. You need to use a program like DS4Windows though. Or set it up through Steam but I've never been able to get that to work.

on my theory on receiving the game free from ms for watching the mixer stream has some weight to it..when i go to buy to own, nothing happens..so i canÂ’t buy it.

Speaking of did anyone get the rewards for gamescom mixer yet? I'm still waiting on mine but my E3 one came through the next day or so.

It seems that they revoked it, it worked in the morning now later when I tried launching it on pc I get an error and says its not in my account

i started my download ages ago, and finally got home to play it, and it loaded up no problem, aside form taking a while.

it even did the XBL connection

Game works for me still also. Problem is after spending a couple hours on it I honestly don't enjoy playing it. No idea if it gets better, but I think I'm done, even for free.

I can still play it as well. I'm liking it a bit, so I'll keep at it. I would really prefer to have this on Steam. Getting it to work with the Steam Controller is a hassle, but totally worth it.

Mine worked all day for several hours but earlier this evening reverted to the "30 minute trial" message. Looks like I'll have to put my disc in to keep playing.

Never owned the game or played the demo on any platform, but I was able to play unhindered for over an hour on PC last night. Clicked Install a few hours after release.

Still working for me, haven't paid it and I played two hours.
Loving the game so far but my god the objective window impossible to turn off is obnoxious. I hope there's a way to turn it off in the config files because it's seriously pissing me off to see this all the time in an exploration game.

Tried it today after installing the other day and it seems to work fine. No trace of timer and I definitely got achievements.
By the way, what the fuck are those insane loading times ? I mean I don't know in what measure it's my computer's way to diplomatically tell me that I have to change my 2500K or the dev being bonkers.

Don't worry, I use an i7 6700k and the game is installed on my SSD and the loading times are... not exactly long, but it feels like I installed it on my HDD instead of the SDD.
