After seeing this I also discovered that http://alanwakereturns.com/ was registered last year via the same proxy as other Remedy domains. (although you don't see Remedy itself in the whois)

edit: it's worth noting that the trademark was registered via FastTrack so someone was in a hurry?!

edit2: At end of the second DLC of AW1, Alan writes on a Book named "Return" - sort of a cliffhanger.

SOMEBODY ALERT ADAM SESSLER

Seriously though this would be pretty cool since the DLC/standalone thing ended on a cliffhanger and it was just a great game in general.

Please go more into the Lovecraft/Stephen King angle with the monsters and the "Old Bastards" writers of Remedy. I beg of you!

I don't know why they registered that though. If they are doing an "Alan Wake 2", they don't need to register that. "Alan Wake's return" as a trademark sounds like something else than a game? Maybe something that leads to an announcement of the second installment though.

yoooooo

Does "Type        Word" mean anything in particular? That just means they've trademarked the phrase, right?

Maybe it will have to do with something with quantum break's alan wake things?
Something washed ashore. Meaning Alan Wake returns?

Yeah, I'll take another Alan Wake. First game was brilliant. Didn't finish American Nightmare yet, didn't feel as good.
