Resolve to finish one game this week!

When did we agree to make playing games feel like work?

I once had the hope to finish every game I had. Then I realised I was wasting my time doing stuff I didn't feel like doing.

Just play what you want, and stop when you're sick of it. =) sorry to be a hater

If you get sick of games before finishing them, you're buying the wrong games. If I get sick of a game before finishing it, I sell it.

Let's catalog games I'm somewhere in the middle of:

Touch! Kirby - been so long since I've played this I can't gauge time to finish

FFVI GBA - floating continent just took off... doubtful.

Forza 2 - impossible to finish

Alien Hominid, Ikaruga, Castle Crashers - I suck too much :(

PJ Eden - only in like the 4th garden. Not gonna happen.

Oblivion - Dark Brotherhood, Arena, and expansions still to go. Nah.

Crysis - Playing on hardest mode, still at the start. Nah.

PQ: Galactrix - <10 hours in. LOL, no way.

Far Cry 2 - Love it to death, but only about 9% done. Not gonna happen.

Phoenix Wright (the first) - in the middle of the second trial. Maybe doable?

WoW toon - currently level 47.... long way to 80...

Peggle Deluxe - about halfway through the Adventure mode. Could probably pull this one off.

Got a date with Peggle tonight. Awwww yeah.

I'm finishing off FF4DS (I'm at the last boss but hey it counts!)

You mean Kirby Canvas Curse?

Just finished Blue Dragon last night. I think its time to finally knock out the rest of Valkyria Chronicles.

I should have been done with GTA: CW by now, but I'm entirely too addicted to the drug trade. Every time someone pages me for some heroin or coke, I put it as my first priority.

I have to finish assassins creed and uncharted to prepare for the sequels. I havnt finished bioshock either but I could care less about that game.

I'm stuck in the worst possible place.

I play SF4 like its my part-time job (I'm v. good at it)
I play Dota like its my other part-time job (im OK at it, TDA is fun)

these two games...they take my backlog and sing piss on you by R.kelly

Cool. I'll open my copy of Persona 4 and go for the true ending! A week should do it you think?

I hope you have one of those chairs that have a fridge built into the side and a toilet bowl right in the seat. :D

I WILL beat Super Princess Peach this weekend.

I should finish ep.5 of Killzone Liberation this week.

Annoyingly enough, the damn game likes to crash itself after an encounter or two with Mr. "
lol mech suit and firebombs, lol
".

These are the five games that are always on my mind cuz I haven't finnished them:

Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)
R-Type Command (PSP)
GTA IV (Xbox 360)
Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins (PSP)
Glory Days 2 (DS)

Crysis on Delta is not very hard at all. You could probably beat it in 6-8 hours easy.

Alright I'll give it a shot. I'm currently playing GUN for game club on PC so it shouldn't be terribly hard to beat this before Saturday night.

I'm early in Devil Summoner, but I'm hoping to wrap it up sometime in the next 7 days before Raiho shows up at my door.

I'm going to resolve to finish Ninja Gaiden Sigma this week. I was having a lot of fun with the game until I got to this part where these mini-helicopter type bots are keeping me from getting further in a warehouse.

Plus, I'd like to finish the game before Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is out this year. I've gotta take Battlefield: BC outta the PS3 drive! I've been addicted as hell playing Goldrush mode...

Can I choose an Xbox LIVE Arcade game? :lol

Nah, I'll man up here and finally clear through Forza Motorsport 2. I gotta tell you though... driving those same tracks all day every day is sure getting monotonous.

I'm going for max gamerscore here, but I reserve the right to cry uncle when it comes to those arcade time trials.

This could be a good weekly or bi-weekly thread.

I just passed 25 hours in Saint's Row 2. I am getting close to the finish. Hopefully I can knock it out tomorrow as I will be out of town all weekend. After that I will finish Dead Space.

After sitting down and grinding with Resident Evil 5 and not playing anything else, I probably will use this approacj for all my gaming purchases. I got so much more out of the game when that was the only one I was playing. Not jumping around from game to game.

That is going to be hard once NCAA Football and Madden come out though.

If had been through the game once before, maybe. But you don't understand, I'm one of those go everywhere, see and try everything people. It's taken me probably two hours just to get to the point where I'm taking out a guard post on the other side of that first bay you come to when the sun rises. :lol

I only chose Delta because I wanted the settings like enemies speak Korean, etc. It sounded cooler...

Wait, they only speak Korean on Delta?

I did not know this.

Also, the game isn't very long at all, but like you said: it's beautiful and fun to traverse the environment. So it's really all in what you make of it. I booted it up just the other day to tool around with the first mission. Just gorgeous.

As promised in another thread, I'll go with Akalabeth.

If I have time, I'll also try to finally finish The Darkness since I started that up again two weeks ago. Probably won't happen though.

If it is such a chore, why bother?
It's not a chore, I just get easily distracted. Getting things done can be about fun things too. I mean I love studying and working out but sometimes it's hard to get to it without some backing up. Doing things with other people and on schedule, even if only on the net, helps.

Xenosaga Episode III for me. It's been on my backlog for a whole year, but I'm finally at the final boss. Wish me luck!

Maybe Suikoden Tierkreis as well, though I don't know how far I am into that.

I'm only one mission into to Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (PSP) so I could probably finish that pretty quick (I read that its short)

I'll make that my goal, Crisis Core will go on vacation until I'm done MoH:H2

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2, it must be done!
This.

I made the mistake of playing my first play through on hard which means grindan grindan grindan. I think I'm on the last boss but I kind of cheesed the lead-up fight and I don't think my current team can win that fight. A few more levels and maybe some new weapons should push me over the top.

I'm starting this tomorrow. I've got 4 weeks before I start school again so I'm gonna crank out some of the RPG's in my backlog. Lost Odyssey is next, then probably Persona 3:FES. No way I'll even finish all 3 in 4 weeks but I want to start making my way through them.

The only free time I have this week is on sunday and there is no way I am spending that time trying to finish a game. That and I think a week is too short, maybe two weeks or a month.

Suikoden Tierkris (I don't know if its fair since I am TECHNICALLY at the end of the game, well by technically I mean literally at the last little bit. Already saw the "fake" ending)

But I have about 50-100 hours work to do in the next couple weeks so its what I am doing!

I really should finish Lost Odyssey. I'm at the tail end of disc 4. Probably won't get it done in just a week, though, unless it's the only game I play. I like to take my time with RPGs.
