Yeah that NeoGAF rant went on for a while there :lol
It's almost as if Ray posts on NeoGAF.

Were all pretty big RPG fans on Retronauts, but in the (roughly) 30 years weve known them in their current console form, very few games from this genre have been set in the present day. And just why the heck is that? Well, I could tell you here, but then why would you bother listening to the episode? Thanks to Kickstarter back Juan Soto, Retronauts Pocket 20 brings you a thorough discussion of the surprisingly limited world of RPGs with contemporary settings. Joining us for this one is guest Kat Bailey, who knows her RPGs and you may remember a few related podcasts on this topic she hosted in the past. Anyhow, enjoy, and please leave us your thoughts in the comments section below!
Retronauts Volume III Episode 21 is up. The subject? Games tailored towards girls.
Special guest Rachel Weil (aka Party Time Hexcellent) is a terrific contribution to the show.
People do this? Guess not anyone I would interact with.People will shame girls for liking things that adhere to their traditional gender role, in an effort to subvert said roles and push their agenda.

I fully expected the show to be pushing for androgeny, and skwewer the games covered for supporting traditional gender roles. It was nice that they could acknowledge said roles exist and that it's okay for people to enjoy stuff that falls into them.
It was hard to hear Ray on a couple of the most recent episodes (the two before this "games for girls" one, which I haven't listened to yet). It sounded really faint like maybe his mic wasn't on and his audio was getting picked up by someone else's mic.
A whole lot of rambling on this episode but man, it's so great to have Kohler in there. His chemistry has been missed, and all four guys (in the same room) were terrific.
I hope they have him review the next COD game.

Congrats Bob!
I think there is a non-zero chance this becomes a USGamer sponsored podcast at some point
Nice to see USGamer has turned into Little 1up. Well, Little "Final Days" 1up when Jeremy ran the show. Good to see that team working together again.
It really was. One of the best.caught up with the girl games episode yesterday. really very good.
The show is roughly 5 times better when Kohler is on. His energy is just what is needed, also he's the one who is just impolite to interrupt at the proper time to either get things back on track or turn it into a new more interesting tangent.
t's official: We're headed to TooManyGames next month! Slated for Friday evening; more details to come as we get closer. See you there!
The longest-lasting retro game podcast continues its series of live appearances after its revival last year! In a first for the show, we discuss the mocked but fascinating history of the 3DO: its big promises, its small successes, and its ultimate flameout but it had some pretty good games, too. Join us for an entertaining history lesson and plenty of memories to share from the hosts, and you!
Is there any chance Chris Kohler will be more often on Retronauts? Or is he too busy with the Wired podcast and Good Job Brain?
still waiting on a frank cifaldi episode
Hey folksits Bob again, and happy to report this is the first episode of mine in a while where I didnt sit down to edit and discover some horrible audio problem that didnt present itself during the recording. So hooray for that! Anyhow, you might not think this topic is your cup of tea, but in recent years Ive become a huge fan of speedruns, and discovered theyre much, much more than watching people cruise through games at an alarming speed. And if you dont believe me, listen on and prepare to have your mind changed and/or blown by our deep dive on this topicand be sure to check out the links below if youre interested in seeing these speedruns for yourself. Thanks again to Nich Maragos, who provided the generous donation (and topic suggestion) that made this episode possible.
I would have to imagine he is, but I'll pledge extra towards a Kohler stretch goal in next season's Kickstarter.
This I will also cosign. Another favorite Retronauts Classic guest.
He's on the Insert Credit podcast, which is much different format than Retronauts.
I don't think there will be another Kickstarter -- Jeremy has lamented the burden of reward fulfillment on his blog, and he's going the Patreon route for Game Boy World.
If they do continue the podcast ( please please please -- not sure if they've actually said one way or the other yet)

If they do continue the podcast ( please please please -- not sure if they've actually said one way or the other yet) and use a funding method outside of regular ol' PayPal donations, then I bet it'll be Patreon.
The dream is to get it hosted by USGamer, right? I'd be fine if they also dropped the Pocket episodes and went biweekly- I find them pretty skipable.
I don't think we got an episode last week, presumable because of E3? I'm still catching up so I don't know if they mentioned something on the most recent episode. Also, today's episode isn't out yet. They're not on hiatus, are they?
Oh, and all the best to T-Frog. Fingers crossed that it's nothing!
Maybe this won't be a surprise, but due to E3 priorities, the podcast will be taking the week off (at least?!). You'll know when we're back!
They posted this on twitter last week:
