Argh... unfortunately I see at least some very cool possibilities with this controller
... I am sad because my wallet will be hurting like crazy next year
.
Backward-compatibility, GCN controller being supported, new controller (I do not think I'd like it for a side-scrolling Mario game... I trust my thumb presses more than the speed of my wrist hehe
), but finally we might see Metroid Prime with free-look
. Revolution should be quite nice
.
I do not own many, one or two, multi-platform games on the GCN: if they price Revolution cheap enough it will be a GREAT companion for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3.
Some people are right, even if Revolution tanks, Nintendo will have made a good amount of 1st party games to keep the console worth having in your house.
The GCN, for example, counting Super Mario Sunshine, the two Zelda's (one is coming shortly), Resident Evil: Remake, Luigi's Mansion, 2 Super Mario Kart games, etc... does not seem like a worthless purchase to me.
